@ Manolito, and other prospective racers who may have missed it. There is now an updated Duenna that checks your pressure altitude max, and gives you a warning and then a invalidation if you over altitiude. I see from your screen shot that you're still using the old version. It is i believe a requirement for this years race and can be downloaded from http://johannesmueller.com/fs/web/duenna/#down"Update, Rev. 82/12. Feb 2006 - approx. 0.5MB, requires a previous full installation - WITH PRESSURE ALTITUDE CHECKS"You also need the Full installation Rev44 if you haven't already got it installed

got the new duenna...thanx for the hint!

Baton free at MTCH. Just a short trip in the DC-3 below 8,500'.Duenna JPG: no map available.BTW: In the updated Duenna, the text file doesn't give any longer a line like "(just copy the above path+file into your forum-attachment field.)" for easy uploding the Duenna.Jozef K. http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg

check again, it's at the bottom now instead of halfway :)

Jeroen, and all,On the Duenna (r.82) check the little box on the line that says "errors". Then note that a second box becomes available. Check that.Note the change in what the Duenna monitors...

...I'd say we need another thread - soon!BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH

It's correct that in many European countries that you have Pressure Altitude set at much lower alts. For example here in the UK, we set 1013 at any point we're above 3,500ft if we wish to stick within IFR rules. When we originally set out the PA cap, we were going to call it FL085, however technically such a measurement doesn't exist in some parts of the world including the US, so we called it PA for technical accuracy. So in essence, whilst RW pilots do not refer to themselves flying at or below a PA, they can and do in fact refer to flying at or below a flight level, which is in reality the same thing.;-)

I do notice it monitoring PA with that box off :)Currently reading -214.5 ft sitting on the ground at Puerto Plata in moderately high pressure.

i have the baton MTCH - MUCM

baton free at MUCM...dej

EDIT:No reason to say more about this rule than have already been said :)BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH
