July 14, 200619 yr Sometimes I am too lazy to use the INS. Is it possible to use GPS for autoflight ?Thanks
July 14, 200619 yr An alternative would be to use a different panel with a modern autopilot system for those lazy times...;)
July 15, 200619 yr You can set up a flight plan using the FS flight planner and then follow it manually on the moving map, but I don't think there is an option in the panel to get the plane to follow it automatically.Unless someone know different ...;)
July 15, 200619 yr It is possible, and very easy to set up. I decided to fly one of David Dossiere's Hopping round the World flights the other day and changed from the default 737-400 to use the Tinmouse II 732 instead. I couldn't work out at first why the HSI wouldn't respond to changing the VOR course until I realised the the HRW flights are all set up with the Nav/GPS switch set to GPS. So my flight was automatically set up to follow the GPS and it followed the FS9 flight plan without problems...To switch it back to normal Nav radio navigation I've assigned a keystroke to Nav/GPS on/off (as it puts it?!) in the control assignments menu in FS9. And that brought my 732 back to normal without a hitch. So, if you want to do this the other way round so that VOR/LOC follows the GPS flight plan this is the way to do it.
July 15, 200619 yr You can edit your panel.cfg file to add a nav/gps switch. Back up your panel.cfg file first! Add the following line to the main panel section...gauge62=737-400!Nav GPS Switch, 655,369,25,26The location of the switch is indicated in the pic.Sidney Schwartz KPDX

It does nothing when I click on it...Can you please post a screenshot ?Thanks
July 15, 200619 yr The RAD/NAV switch has been recoded in the TinMouse II to switch between the radio nav and the CIVA INS. It won't play nice with the GPS in NAV mode.Any nav device that drives the standard FS heading bug (i.e. FS Nav) should work OK with the TM2 provided the NAV/RAD switch stays in RAD.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
