February 28, 200323 yr Author But if I uninstall the 27.45's and I want to put them back, I don't have them on my system anymore if I use the add-remove button? guru3d.com does not have them there either. Eric
March 1, 200323 yr You can always go back to the 30.82s.. they are universally recognized as stable and reliable. And you can find them on guru3d.. Bert
March 1, 200323 yr Howdy Eric,Just set a system restore point before installing new drivers if you are nervous about installing. Actually you should have the 27.xx series on the disk that came with your Card or if it came in a new computer the drivers will probably still be on your drive if you uninstall them. Once you uninstall and install a few times it will get less nerve wracking. It is usually pretty easy to go back if you don't like a new set of drivers. I have found that newer drivers usually don't do all that much, particularly for frame rates. Some of them however do enhance your graphics or in the case of the 42XX series of drivers they will sharpen the text in FS2K.Again set a new system restore point, and you can always restore to what it was before the upgrade.Give it a shot, and you will probably be like the rest of us, continually looking for that GOLDEN driver, the one that will lift us out of the morass of the mundane into the sacred halls of nirvana. We all say, "new drivers don't really do all that much except for special circumstances", but we keep our download managers hot, downloading those new ones anyway. :) If you start, we can welcome a new addict to the ranks. :D Donald E.
