March 19, 200719 yr Thank you very much.So much required...I am working on a crossing runways AFCAD.Ghiom Viguie
March 19, 200719 yr I would not worry much about a crossing runways AFCAD as Pearson almost never uses cross runway operation. We have several operations, the dual in which RW23 and 24R or 05 and 06L are used as arrival and departure runways with arrivals spaced 5 miles apart to permit one departure in each gap.The triple uses dual spacing on 23 or 05 a dedicated departure runway on 24R or 06L and a dedicated arrival runway on 24L or 06R with minimum spacing. We only switch to the cross runways when there is no other option as the wind is too strong, on the 33's 33L is used for arrivals only and 33R for departures, with occassional offloads, the 15's are almost never used but when they are we use 15R for arrivals and15L for departures, a very rare combination would be to land 15L and depart 23 or 06L.FS does not simulate the actual YYZ cross runway operations well, that is why crossing runways were not included, FS simulates for the most part the triple operation which is reasonably accurate as we try to triple as much as possible because it allows the maximum utilisation of the runways.
