October 23, 200718 yr Double check that you have the fuel valves on. I struggled for a while once and then realized the fuel valves were off. Scott
October 23, 200718 yr tim:see how my PSS sub-panels are set.http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g203/spa...rpanelstart.jpgAPU running and APU bleed valve open.http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g203/spa...Xstartpanel.jpgstart selector set for IGN/START; individual engine selectors ON.-- D. October 23, 200718 yr Looking at the overhead screenie I would say that APU bleed valve is on 'auto' instead of APU bleed valve on 'open'.Don't know if it makes any differece though.
October 23, 200718 yr ok. it's 3 A.M. here. Just checking in. Now I think I understand. Just one the..............Why are the generater "fault" lights on?Should the APU bleed be on auto or on?Thanks
October 23, 200718 yr see the 'APU bleed' light being ON.see the 'x-bleed' valve in AUTO. this is so the air moves across both systems depending on demand.-- D. Scobie, feelThere support forum moderator: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/169-feelthere-support-forums/
October 23, 200718 yr That looks great "D".........Just a couple things so I understand.>top panel What are the engine starts for there?>bottom panel.... I set to ignition startWhich engine do I start first? And when I get engines going does Switch move automatically to "norm mode?"(just wondering)>it's important to me to Know which engine to start first. seems somewhere in manual it said #2 first."correct?)Now I got to find external lighting system switches.hintMr "D"............You have helped me a great deal.Thank you:-)
October 23, 200718 yr Mr "D"Forget the lighting. sori. I been asking to much. Disregard. I'll find them. Would you kindly respond to other stuff. It will relieve my mind.
October 23, 200718 yr >>top panel What are the engine starts for there?situations exist where a manual start are necessary ... these are RARE. i'll leave it to any real pilots on the forum to describe these situations.>>Which engine do I start first? each airlines has a SOP. i've heard, and flown on, airlines that start #1 first (allowing last minute baggage to be loaded). others start #2 first.>>And when I get engines going does Switch move automatically to "norm mode?"(just wondering)no. 'normal' procedure is to put the engine start switch in 'norm' after start and during taxi. prior to takeoff more to 'IGN'. back to 'norm' in climb (during 'after T/O checklist') weather depending. maybe 'IGN' during descent (weather depanding). then 'IGN' during final approach. and then 'norm' after landing/taxi.look for a 'abus checklist' in avsim's library. also check out -http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/airbus/A320/from your comments you are thinking 'boeing'. you must forget MUCH to fly an Abus.-- D. October 24, 200718 yr Ok. Understand what you said. You've been a great help Mr "D"Im Going to read the "systems manual" again before I start the tuturial. Thank you for all your help.Sure do appreciate.
October 24, 200718 yr Haven't used the PSS 320 for some time but looking at your screenshots I would suggest that you switch the APU generator ON.Steve
October 24, 200718 yr steve:the APU generator is automatically connected to the aircraft's electrical system when the APU is running. the button being dark is normal. no need to turn the switch 'on'.-- D. October 24, 200718 yr Well..............I'm a pro at that now thanks to mr"D"I just tryed 2 takoffs from eggd. I blew it on both trys But I'll get r'Musta done something wrong because the tuturial starts on rwy 27Right now I'm just happy that I can start it and get going from "cold & dark cockpit"
October 27, 200718 yr Have you looked at the tutorials in the speedbirdonline address in my signature below? If not it might be worth doing so even though they are rather old now. They will show how to get everything going properly, how to program the MCDU and so on. Then, if you have any question do post questions, but please put them in the PSS Airbus forum rather than here.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual [email protected]http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
