December 4, 200718 yr I have used McAfee for several years. It seems to have kind of a large footprint, but maybe better than Norton. But it has never detected a virus, so I conclude it isn't that big a problem. I was using AVG with Vista Beta, since it was the only AV available at the time. It seems good enough and I decided free was better considering the lack of problems I have had. I don't use outlook/outlook express so maybe that helps.I like the McAfee firewall better, though it seems to me that the updated versions have been "dumbed down" and aren't as useful.scott s..
