Good Rural Airport?

Featured Replies

Hi: I am looking for a good (freeware!) scenery of a rural airport...Maybe a grass strip with buildings, hangar, etc., or a rural paved strip with the same...Suggestions appreciated!Steve in (rural) Kansas

Have your tried searching the library using Kansas as the search criteria and limiting the search to FS2004 scenery? You may want to try that with adjacent states also.

Perhaps not quite in Kansas, but it sounds like you might enjoy Bremerton National (KPWT) by Mark Smith (I certainly do, it is an excellent freeware airport.) Library link: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...s2004&Go=Search

Some suggestionsWilliam Shea - Block Island, Hyannis/Barnstable, Katama, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Provincetown in the Cape Cod area - and the long gone Roosevelt Field especially the 1927 version ready for Lindbergh to takeoff for the flight to Parishttp://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...Shea&CatID=rootTom Jones Arkansas, Texas fields - his Louisiana airports also work in FS2004Here is another one which looks good - I haven't loaded it.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...atID=fs2004scenI like flying a P-38 into / out of this one:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...atID=fs2004scen
