Wonderful shots. Are you using Activesky weather? I could not believe it when I saw the clouds blowing over the Matterhorn. Just lovely.

Im using Realsky V3 http://secure.simmarket.com/product_info.p...250&language=nl It totally transforms the skies in FSX. The weather is just the standard FSX weather set. TP scenes also look stunning at dusk and dawn especially with Light bloom on. I'll post some in the Screenshot forum too. And the best thing about it all is that my framerate never drops below 30fps on my pretty average spec PC.

I like that 5th one and last one particularly. Its pretty hard to make a choice up there.! Are you using SP1 and do you see out-of-focus tiles as you move away from your starting point - because I am and I have tried a number of tweaks. I suspect its partly due to my AMD 4200 rig not having enough grunt as well as SP1.Re the widescreen: Its a pity its not possible to show the full resolution of 3840 x 1024 on this forum because of 1024 pixel wide limitation and compression to 150Kb of my two wide shots put into one frame. But if you extend one of your shots out to the left and right you'll get a feeling of the overall result. The only drawback are the screen bezels although you seem to ignore them after a while. With three projectors this could be eliminated - interesting thought. What a fabulous addition to FSX TP is I'm sure you will agree. Re WOZ

I'm not using SP1 as I didn't see the point in risking a good Tileproxy configuration by patching as I don't fly vanilla FSX as my machine struggles to maintain a playable framerate with it, although I dare say Vanilla FSX would perform better with SP1 I'm hooked on TP now so theres no going back:) I'm glad I waited before patching as it seems people are having some problems. I don't really see any blurry tiles when flying probably because I only fly the Microlite, the Cub, and Helos at the moment and I use a large Lod radius which I think helps me as well as a fast net connection. I experimented with the Beechcraft earlier and I did get a little texture lag bombing it down from the matterhorn through Zermatt but I was doing about 180 knots. Once I slowed down again theough it filled in pretty rapidly. Im not using a page file either so I don't know if thats helping by delivering the tiles faster, I'm not sure, but I'm more than happy with my experience this far and I'm more than happy to fly the slow movers at the moment as theres so much to see out there and you really get a chance to take it all in.

The thing that is remarkable to me is the performance of FSX with TP on my machine. I dare say mine is the slowest machine in the group. I am running an CPU "AMD Athlon XP 2700+" Speed Test 2.215 Ghz with a GeForce 6600 GT video card. I don't want to turn this thread into a hardware discussion but running SP1 and TP I have my frame rates set at 18 fps and I get that consistenly. Also, unlike FS9, even at that rate the sim is very smooth and realistic. My point is, TP and SP1 have turned FSX into my sim of choice, whereas before TP and SP1 I could only run FS9 and get any reasonable performance. Oh, and I just installed SP1 over my existing install without going through any of the recommended procedures.

Is your proxyUser.INI file updated with sp1_mode=Yes ? It makes tile loading more efficient with the SP1.

Lake Berryessa, California

Nice. How can FSX say "differential brakes" in mid air? ;-)

>>Is your proxyUser.INI file updated with sp1_mode=Yes ? It>makes tile loading more efficient with the SP1.>>Yes, I have sp1_mode=Yes.

Given the nice weather and all.

I think some people were wondering what cities can look like? This is Napa, California and Napa Co. Airport. I just love watching traffic moving on the freeways. Although, there is some pretty crazy stuff happening at those overpasses :-hahTony
