You use these aspects to point out how poor Vista is, yet these points, in a way, also describe XP64. lolGTR2, GTR: Evolution, and RFactor. Good times. :(
How long has XP been around? And how long has Vista been around? How long did XP last before Vista was developed? And how long did Vista last before W7 was developed? If there wasn't a need to improve Vista, and get rid of the name's stigma, that W7 would just be called Vista SP3 or something like that. Why does Microsoft need a commercial showing common folks using a "new" OS that runs really fast, only to find out it's a service-packed Vista? And the folks go "oh I can't believe this is Vista! Usually Vista runs like dodo!"?I'll admit I'm bashing Vista a little too much. The differences between the 2 OS's isn't that great now that Vista has service packs. But it's still not better for FSX than XP64. And it's still being "upgraded" to W7.Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go crawl back under my rock. :( -jk

The question is how would you even know if FSX runs better on XP 64 than on Vista 64? Now back to my Crysis discussion over at MySpace.

The answer is because I know who to listen to about the subject. And that resource knows more about FSX and computer hardware/software engineering than you ever will. Here's something else:http://www.switched.com/2009/01/08/is-micr...0104x1201107351-jk

If that's what your childish take on this is, so be it. I didn't want to bring names into this...you've done that, and by the way in doing so you've proved to everyone here just how short-sighted, ignorant, and disrespectful you really are.
Does this really have anything to do with me being short-sighted, ignorant, and disrespectful or more with the fact that my response might have hit on the truth?
And how the hell do you know, in your little seat there, what influences all my hardware and tuning decisions?
You just told us didn

1) No, It has to do with you being short-sighted, ignorant, and disrespectful. I think you're jealous. You wish you had real knowledge. Instead you make fun of someone who does.2) No, I gave you an example. And a good one at that. There are other resources. Trick is knowing what's real and what's rubbish, like using MB raid for FSX and ruining the performance of thousands of $$$ in HW. 3) Yes.-jk
1. Jealous of what? I

Every OS needs improvement. That is hardly the basis for an argument. The duration for an OS being around is also hardly the basis for an argument. It's not like the debate is XP vs ME. Seriously, Simjunkie, you have not even used Vista so why even post about it? On a side note, your "real knowldge" is based on the experience of others....... Do I really need to go on? lol

When I said "knowledgable" I wasn't speaking of myself with that comment. I should have been more clear. I'm a hobbiest. A professional scientist, but a computer hobbiest. And I have enough experience with FSX over the last two years that qualifies me to make these comments. Not because I just take someone else's word for it. I've seen the improvements first hand. And I don't need to explain to jackasses like you two why it's wise to take the advice of people WHO HAVE DECADES OF EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE about this. And not just the one Gentleman who has enough motivation and patience to offer what he's learned over 40 years or so to people smart enough to listen. Even though snot-nosed little brats like djt01 have to challenge it. I don't have to experiment on every single thing my self to justify knowing what's right and what's crap. The right information is out there. I took what I learned, put it to use, and GUESS what...it works! Well I'll be a son-of-a-biotch, something a seasoned prefessional(s) with years of experience advised me to do worked! How the hell did that happen???? In the professional technical field, which I happen to be in myself, one learns to respect the advice of those who have proven themselves to be worthy with their credentials. Phil Taylor, Nick, Engineers and Scientists where I work, Project Managers, YOU NAME IT,They are experts FOR A REASON, DUMBASSES! THEY are the people the other younger achedemics and professionals go to for advice!I don't have to use Vista to be smart enough to realize AS I HAVE REALIZED FOR TWO FRIGGEN YEARS that it will NEVER be a replacement for XP. I'll bet your stupid arse $100 it won't. I work for a company with world-wide medical device distribution that grossed $800,000,000 last year. . Over 1000 personnel in my home town alone. None of the companies networked systems are on Vista, and according to our IS dept they never will be (and many of the systems have graphic engineering programs).-jk

Why don't you quote me completely? You just picked out a little bit so you could make a remark. Can't you stand up to the other things I said above? You are really the true idiot here. A little kid with some expensive computer HW and an attitude.
I only responded to that part because the rest is just a rehash that you
