Two Duke questions...

Featured Replies

Well, since we're all doing it.... :( I agree with everyone else who's saying that this package is absolutely fantastic. This was my first RealAir bird, but I'm sure it won't be my last. Thanks, guys!

Rob and Sean - like everyone else I want to congratulate you on a job well done. I very much enjoy products and I think the Duke is the best so far. Regarding the wing ice light, where exactly is it located? Also, do you think you might add an realair version of icing? Or is that a no no? It is a great feature on the F1 Mustang and adds what (in my purely entertainment world) is a lot realism for me.Thanks for a great product.

But right now general aviation is what I enjoy the most in FSX.Regarding the wing ice light, where exactly is it located? I havent done any night flights yet; it is probably more noticable at night. (I know it is not needed in daylight, but I was just looking for it)Also, do you think you might add a realair version of icing? Or is that a no no? It's right where the rest of the lighting switches are....says something like wing ice

:( Ryan thanks for the switch location.... but I can find the switch, it is the actual light on the outside of the aircraft that I cant find.

Thank you. We appreciate that!Rob - RealAir

Hi there,I see the wing-ice switch has been answered (BTW you can click on the yoke and it will disappear while you operate the light switches and return when you click on the stub). The light is there but it is quite dim. We don't want it too bright because in the day it spoils the bump mapping on the wing and I think in any case these lights are not meant to be bright. We could have a look at adding icing effects so that's a good suggestion. Meanwhile though there are a lot of other effects and features in the Duke and they are all listed in the flying guide.best regards,Rob - RealAir

Icing effect would be great. There are many other features in there, as you stated Rob, and I really like the amount of attention given to single engine operations. I can't wait to try the 'Resort Supply' mission in FSX to test it out thoroughly. I really like this one, twins are my absolute favorite to fly, and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next.

Robb, for the life of me, I cannot fine the wing ice light on the duke. I am not talking about the wing ice light on/off toggle switch in the cockpit. I mean the actual light to illuminate the wing. Last night I loaded the duke to a night flight and turned off every light except the wing ice light. There was no light showing on the external view or from the internal view of the duke to illuminate the wing. In addition, I can't find the physical light on the out side of the plane anywhere. So not only does it not seem to work, I dont think it is actually modelled.I appreciate your help. PS I love the duke!Chuck
