May 8, 200917 yr Just wanted to pass on to everyone in the Hangar that I got my first-ever hole-in-one today (Friday, May 8th, 2009). :( I did it at the Pohick Bay Golf Course located in Fairfax County, VA on the Par 3, 11th hole. I've been a member at this course for the past 4-5 years. It's quite an exciting event, this hole-in-one thing! But the best part, the guy I was golfing with secretly called back to the clubhouse and advised them of my feat. When we finished and returned to my car, there were two large Congrats ballons on the car and the staff all came out to personally offer their congrats and shake my hand. We all went back into the clubhouse where I bought everyone a beer. The course staff really treats everyone like family and you won't find that at many golf courses. It was such an enjoyable event I think I'll try to get another hole-in-one soon! Oh! And yes, I did win the golf match! :( Best regards,Jim

Each time, in perfect control of my emotions, I bet modestly. Each time, everybody else folded, rewarding me with only the antes.(I know, I know. In this fast-paced day of Texas Hold 'Em, who or what is Five Card Draw?)

The only hole-in-one that I have ever had was a vodka shooter at the 19th hole. Down here in Charlottesville, a hole-in-one will get you an invitation to play at Farmington.... You still have to pay the whole enchilada, but you do get the invite. :(
