MD-11 CD version

Featured Replies

I've got some questions concerning the CD release of the MD-11 for FSX.1. Is there any U.S. distributor that can provide the CD version of the MD-11?2. Would the CD version contain the latest update to the MD-11.3. What specifically does the following sentence in the Aerosoft descriptive data mean? "3 GHz or multi-core processor"....Does this mean that you have to have a dual or a quad core processor that is at least 3 ghz or higher or does it mean that you could have a 3 ghz dual core OR a 2.66 ghz Quad-core processor?jack

hello Jack, pc aviator in the U.S.A have the md11 in fs9 and fsx as they emailed me to that effect. not being an expert i would say a 3ghz dual core would be adequate. richard welsh

Anybody know the answer to the other questions? Also, how would the following computer spec's do for the MD-11 fsx version: Q6600 overclocked to 2.66 ghz, P5Q3 motherboard, 4 gig of DDR3--1800 ram, 8800GT graphics card or would I be better off purchasing the MD-11 for FS9?jack

I'm no pc expert either, but the statement clearly implies a pentium 3ghz processor at least OR (operative word) better than that, any muticore processor. Laughable at the low end perhaps, but that's what it says.In terms of fps - fs9 is ALWAYS better, just depends on what you want to see out the window. I don't own the md11 but I'm sure those that do will advise.edit - why does the front page say the fs2004 mdll has been released? has't it been released for ages now??

Mark

I have a very similar system to you and you will be fine. and oc that processor to at least 3.2ghz. It can take it. Do you have an aftermarket cooler, is so do it, but if not let it be.

I can not speak for PMDG with authority, but it has always been PMDG's policy to delay the shipment of CD version until all corrections and updates can be directly applied to the physical media prior to shipment as they really strive to have it as finalized as possible for that market. I'm 95% sure it would already be on the CD but if it isn't download the update and try to apply it, but I don't think it'll be neccessary.
