Double bridges in FS9.1

Featured Replies

In FS9.1 I have a doubling of two bridges in the UK, the Forth and the Severn. The only add-on scenery I have in these areas are the airports, Edinburgh and Bristol and the designer assures me he doesn't do bridges! The Forth bridges are parallel to each other but the Severn bridges intersect in a sort of cross.I have Ultimate Terrain Europe and Ground Environment Pro II which I don't think should affect this. Why has this happened and, more to the point, how do I eliminate the surplus bridges, please?Iain Smith

UT USA does have some bridge issues so I would not be too quick to discount UT Europe as a possible problem. Can you disable both of the addons you mentioned and see if you still have the bridge doubling? If no doubling then reactivate them one at a time to see which one is problematic. Addons such as you mention usually have support forums where fixes for such problem can often be found.Hope these ideas are helpful.

Thanks David, I'll certainly try that and let you know the outcome.Iain Smith

There is a box in the UT setup page- Tick "Remove FS 2004 Bridge Objects". That should do the trick. Alex Reid

I second what Alex has just said.

OK I'll try that but I thought that would mean the bridges aren't there at all.Iain Smith

No that didn't work. I'd already ticked to remove FS2004 bridges. However, when I uninstalled the FS9.1 update and reverted to FS9 I had one Forth rail and road bridge but two Severn bridges, the one by MS and the "proper" one by UT. As I recall, the original FS9 did not have a Forth bridge. So, this means that selecting in UT to remove FS2004 bridges does not, for some reason, work. I'll head over to the UT forum to see if there is a fix.Iain Smith

Why would you remove the 9.1 update?I believe that's the actual source of your problem.
Sorry, I didn't make it clear that was just for testing and it showed that the problem was with UT. It's now fixed. :( Iain Smith
