May 27, 200917 yr Just prior to the sabotage of the AVSIM Servers, we had brought online the new tutorial system (see the link to it above). We would like to ask all members of the forum to contribute to the Tutorial System. There is a wealth of information within the forum itself that can be put in the Tutorial System. There are many members out there with a wealth of knowledge and insight into our hobby. We ask that you help us build up that Tutorial system for current and future members of the AVSIM forums. What better way to contribute than to share your knowledge and experience. Please, consider contributing your talent and knowledge and putting it in the Tutorial System for all to benefit from.

Even if everybody else did only one there would be hundreds of them for us all to peruse, learn from and enjoy.(Of course unless you have a wi-fi laptop the Tutorial System will never replace Readers Digest as bathroom reading, but do it anyway.)

Don't spend a lot of time thinking about that statement. Our membership would drop to near zero otherwise. :(

May 29, 200917 yr And LAVSIM was born... :(CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, COBob, that was outstanding! We used to live in Woodmen Valley, before the roads were paved. Where are you?
May 29, 200917 yr Author And LAVSIM was born... :(Hysterical... That was good Bob. Maybe I should set up a LAVSIM forum for, well, totally smelly, off topic, topics. I can see it now... What key sequence makes the loo flush counter clockwise? How do we get higher frame rates when the cat is at the sink drinking water out of the tap, and my bog suddenly springs a leak? How do we get 3D TP? The set screw on the flush handle is 1/3 of an inch off - can someone correct that terrible mistake pronto? The color blue in the toilet is not true to life... It needs to be darker. Etc. :(

May 29, 200917 yr Okay, to keep the lavatorial theme, I can now safely feel 'flushed with success', because I've just done a tutorial on how to do a repaint and posted it in there. Only took about ten minutes to do and hopefully it will be of help to some, so I'd recommend everyone has a crack at it (pun intended). Go on, you can spare ten minutes to share your knowledge people!Suggestions for taglines: 'LAVSIM, The seat of power for Flight Simming' and 'LAVSIM, where hackers couldn't put us down the crapper' and my favourite: 'LAVSIM, where simmers gather to talk cr*p'By the way, does that mean that Tom is the seat of power at LAVSIM?Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 29, 200917 yr Author "LAVSIM" gives whole new meanings to "turn the other cheek", "flush with success" and "we aim to please".This is not a true model... Where is the bidet? What key sequence do I push to turn the exhaust fan on (the wife is raising hell!)? Lavender? Who needs Lavender? "LIFT THE DAMN SEAT!!! - MORON!!!" "YOU DIDN'T PUT THE SEAT DOWN - IDIOT!!!". EDIT TO ADD: Where is the VASI approach lights? I need those to properly land my &@($* on that there seat. Ah well, I can see right now that the LAVSIM Forum is a really, really, REALLY, bad idea. :(
May 29, 200917 yr "LAVSIM" gives whole new meanings to "turn the other cheek", "flush with success" and "we aim to please".If there IS going to be a LAVSIM, pretty please don't have a Screenshots forum.

May 30, 200917 yr I can see it now... What key sequence makes the loo flush counter clockwise? I think you have to start with the "P" key first followed by the "T" key :(
May 31, 200917 yr How in the United States do I submit a tutorial? Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
