What about 3D Lights Redux? Anyone have that version?B377 is an amazing product, especially with accusim. It is an engine management simulation that happens to be in an airplane.A really, really good airplane.Anyone interested in getting into the details of a state-of-the-art airliner before the jet era has to look at it. It is extremely detailed.

The B-17 sounds like a winner@ the 25%discount price! And with an Accusim package in the works I don't see how I can refuse! lol

For the sale price, I can hardly go wrong, but now that I have departed from FSX purity, I would have to worry about three different programs fighting over the rights to my lights.REX, UTX & A2A's. I suppose it is easy enough to select which one does what. With the amazing user mods on their forum to the awful night lighting in the CS 757, I am beginning to see the dark at the end of the tunnel even with that airplane. One way or another, that problem looks licked.I think the B377 has the fancy 3-D lights installed. I'll have to look up your old review, Al.

>>Ten points if anyone can name the airport by the way :-)<<I know. But I cheated :-PHave you had a look at Redux, Al? Your review was for the previous version, I beleive.

For anyone who didn't get what Tim was driving at, that's Boeing Field in those pics.I've not indulged in the Redux version of Shockwave's lights, in fact even though I reviewed the original Shockwave Lights for AVSIM I don't even have that anymore, since I lost it in a hard disk crash LOLNot exactly a heartbreaker, since I did get it for free when I was reviewing it. The effect is on the W.O.P. II B-17 by default anyway, so it's always gonna be on that one. Frankly I think that something in between the default FS lighting and Shockwave's effect would probably look best, as even though I think Shockwave's Lights are a nice effect and certainly great at night and in dusk and dawn periods, they're a bit over the top in daylight for my tastes, although there's no denying it's a very innovative product, and since you can stick it on any aircraft you have, it's certainly great value.Al

Tim_Capps,I have 3D Lights Redux and its pretty bada**. All the runway lights, taxi lights and tower beacons are tons brighter and more defined. Also, thereis a directory in their forum that you can change the aircraft.cfg files for AI traffic and have your AI traffic use 3D Lights Redux also!!! And also in that directoryare aircraft.cfg files for some payware and freeware aircraft. I was able to find most of the aircraft that I own. Hope this helped you out!~chrisg311 C-17 Driver McChord AFB, WA

Another one to seriously consider buying is the P47 Razorback with Accusim. It is really amazing!

I hate the lights on Traffic X AI. It isn't a bad traffic program, but airplanes always look like glowing spherical UFOs on my system until they get close. and the glowing sphere resolves itself into an airplane. So that might be a go.

As I recall the 3D Redux lights only come on if the gear is down. Is that still the case??Bruce
