FS9 MD-11 flame out?

Featured Replies

hellolately i experienced some strange engine flame outs in the air but also on the ground..i've done over 50 flights or more (long and short distances) without any problems of this kind.moslty i'm setting up my flights from a cold and dark cockpit following the checklists.everything then works perfect, takeoff, climb, step climb, cruise. but suddenly all engines shutting down..fuel temp is normal (at around 0

If the engines are stopping early in the session, verify that you are not using pmdg or any complex add-on as the MSFS default aircraft. Hope it helps.

The only time I had problems with that was using a yoke where I had been using the mixture slider on it. I left it at minimum and then went and used the MD-11 and the engines flamed out (forgot to disable it).Probably not the same thing happening but a suggestion anyway.John Ellison

The only time I've experienced this was when using lots of time acceleration during climb out...

thank you all for your suggestions.i'm not 100% sure about that, but i think i've switched off the ignition switches after startup respectively during flight, when i ran into this troubles..could this be the fault?yesterday i did another successfull flight from KORD to KLAS. (btw. with ingition switches on)i'll check my mixture slider anyway..

Could well be, you need to select either A or B and leave it on. Which one? Some say A=even days B=odd days, others say A=first flight, B=second flight, etc.Either will do anyway but leave it on lol.John Ellison

Daniel,Have a look at this thread, this user had the exact same problem and it was caused by setting the sim rate too high.CheersGary

hi Garythank you for that mention too.i never use a higher sim rate, so this was definitively not the reason here.meanwhile i did another two successfull flights with one ingition switch on - no problems anymore.in my case this was the fault.best regards
