August 7, 200916 yr Hi there!I have this problem that I apparently share with many others.My lights, smokeeffects and waterspalshes on wet runways ect. are all comming in squares.I have tried surfing this forum for ansaws, and doing so learned that many others have the same issues.Unfortnatly no one has come up with a solution to this problem. Some of it is for sure DX10 related, but unchecking the "DX10 prewiev", does not solve it alone. :( So once again..; Has anyone found the magic code to this issue?What couldt be the bug?I
August 7, 200916 yr Author Hi,What are your computer specs?Hi Jim!My computer is 3 month old and very ok!i7 quadrocore 2.79 GHz, 6gb ram, vista 64-bit, NVIDIA GF GTX 285 1gb.And its the greatest experince to fly! I never dremed it wouldt be in my reach, to have this.., But these squares really is a major drawback.Ofcourse I have all kinds of addons and no memory about when this started.So...But surfing, both here and in other forums, has revealed many many post with simular issues.So maybe someone found a way to make this thing vannish :( Maybe you have an idea?PM

Try putting this line in your fsx.CFG [sCENERY] section: ShowMissingTextureAlert=1 That should tell you what texture is needed.Then you can go from there. Set the value to "0" to disable the alert. August 8, 200916 yr Just load the sim up and fly, you will get a pop up box appearing telling you which texture is missing at that moment in time and you have to click on the OK button before the sim will continue on again. Cheers, Andy.
