August 25, 200916 yr Moderator I admit I haven't follow PMDG forum in a long while, basically since I switched to FSX in April '08. I used to frequent this area back when I used FS9 and the PMDG 737NG, but since the FSX version has yet to arrive I haven't been following along. With that being said, there was a new aircraft released a few weeks ago called the L-39 from Lotussim. I haven't bought the product since that particular plane isn't my thing, however I was interested to see if PMDG may plan to develope for upcoming products a few of the features that they use. Namely a set of landing lights like what that package offers and animated rain effects for the VC which FSX lacks. I understand that the landing lights or their effect were developed by them, not so sure about the VC rain effects, however this is something I would love to see in upcoming PMDG products like the ATR and 737NG for FSX. The icing effects are also pretty neat also, but I think the newest release of the J41 is going to include those and hopefully any new products going forward. Here is a link to their site so you can take a look if you aren't already aware of the amazing lighting and rain effects that they have done;http://www.lotussim.com/features-general-raineffects.htmlhttp://www.lotussim.com/features-general-landinglights.htmlRegards,Sean C. August 26, 200916 yr Author Moderator Take a look at the end of this thread :- http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=256649And yes it does look brilliant, a bit of a handful to fly but I'm getting there :( John EllisonThanks. I read the end of that. I was hoping maybe they could get this in for 737 and ATR since the J41 is almost done I didn't expect it. It doesn't really matter to me if the J41 doesn't have it since I will not be a buyer of that aircraft. I was just thinking down the road that it would be nice for future releases or maybe even patches to existing releases. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
