August 29, 200916 yr My favourites are hardware: TrackIR and rudders, with TrackIR on top. In software, I like the Vancouver+ scenery because of the incredible pool of talent that helped make the product as well as that it depicts my real-world home. It's hard to pick a favourite add-on aircraft, as many of them are so good these days. I go back to the Aerosoft BeaverX time and time again, as well as the AlphaSim SR-71 and the RAZBAM Intruder (and I never used to like military aircraft in the sim!). There are many utilities out there that are awesome as well: I like SimCommander, FSFlying School, and DBS Walk&Follow. My all-time favourite freeware is AISmooth!Jeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
August 30, 200916 yr I don't think I could pick just one, but I can say which one I'm spending the most time with: The Real Air Beechcraft Duke B60. I just haven't wanted to fly much of anything else since I got it. Other serious faves would include Tongass X and Extreme Bush Trekker sceneries, the Lionheart Quest Kodiak, Aerosoft Twin Otter and Beaver. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
August 31, 200916 yr No way I can name only one :)My favorite addons are Orbx FTX, OZx and REX for scenery.
August 31, 200916 yr Pilatus PC-12, superbly modeled and great to fly by hand. you can tell its by the same folks as the Citation Mustang!

August 31, 200916 yr Favourite FS add-on? That's easy. Many people slag Abacus off, but they publish the best add on for FS by miles, and that is FS Design Studio. Lots of add-ons give you one or two aeroplanes, but FSDS gives you any plane you like with a little bit of effort. Here's one I'm currently working on, in the early very rough stages of completion. It's an Airco DH4 bomber, in fact the one which WE Johns - author of the Biggles novels - flew during WW1; this will be a freebie download...Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 31, 200916 yr So far, the RealAir Duke, but I only own a few so far. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
August 31, 200916 yr I concentrate on the "big iron". For me, these two are (almost) interchangable for place #1: PMDG MD-11 and LDS 767. They both do what I expect, have superb 2D panels and system simulation, are a pleasure to hand fly and just "feel right". Almost all other planes I have (and I've a lot) either have "system quirks" here and there (often no big things, but issues though) or are a catastrophe to hand fly or are visually very unappealing (from a cockpit-view standpoint).Andreas Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. August 31, 200916 yr Ok..we are all crabby about the economy, piracy, etc, etc. Let's take a deep breath and remember that FSX is a wonderful escape from the ills of the world and allows us to soar unfettered above it all admiring the scenery, mastering a challenging landing, learning better skills and having just "plane" fun.My favorite is the Cessna Citation Mustang. I love it because it just feels right. It is the perfect mix between small, simple GA and large, complicated airliners. I really enjoy the virtual cockpit with the moving map. I always have great situational awareness. I can fly a plan or nix it and hand fly "offroad" just to explore. It is also easy to land. The only thing it's missing is a cruise control. What is your favorite addon or addons and why do you like them?ThaellarNot such an easy question and as such i'll divide it to catagoriesAirliner : pmdg's md-11GA : flight1's PC-12 amazing little powerful turbopropScenery : Megascenery earth tiles hands down .. amazing job.
