August 28, 200916 yr Ok..we are all crabby about the economy, piracy, etc, etc. Let's take a deep breath and remember that FSX is a wonderful escape from the ills of the world and allows us to soar unfettered above it all admiring the scenery, mastering a challenging landing, learning better skills and having just "plane" fun.My favorite is the Cessna Citation Mustang. I love it because it just feels right. It is the perfect mix between small, simple GA and large, complicated airliners. I really enjoy the virtual cockpit with the moving map. I always have great situational awareness. I can fly a plan or nix it and hand fly "offroad" just to explore. It is also easy to land. The only thing it's missing is a cruise control. What is your favorite addon or addons and why do you like them?Thaellar
August 28, 200916 yr It changes, but at the moment it is the Lotus Simulations L-39 Albatross:http://www.lotussim.com/It sets the standard for FS planes imho. Landing lights are incredible, VC rain effects, fps are awesome despite the high detailed VC. etc etcRecent favorites have been the RealAir Duke, Flight1 Mustang, and the Eaglesoft SR22 G3 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 28, 200916 yr Lotus L-39C - I know it's only been a few weeks but it's already changed the way I think of FSX forever.
August 28, 200916 yr My favorite is the Cessna Citation Mustang.Have to agree with you there, in fact I've flown it so much I've overdosed.Going cold turkey for a while to recover. :(
August 28, 200916 yr AirHaulerIt ads so much to FS flying... Economical aspects is one of them. You will usually fly in one particular plane for a period of time (that is a good one, if You have plenty of 3rd party add-on airplanes, because You do not just fly, You actually learn to fly this particular plane). August 28, 200916 yr I have so many favorites right now its crazy. But if I have to pick 1, then it will be the Embraer 170 from Wilco, since I have been putting in some hours with it lately. I just re-installed this bad boy and o my!!!! I forgot how good it is compared to all the other crap they have put out :( . Christopher Edwards
August 28, 200916 yr Airsimmer A320It's SO good that it'll never be released, just in case someone faints and hurts themself..
August 28, 200916 yr Lol.I'm not saying its the best, but it's my favorite plane to fly - RealFlights F6F Hellcat. -Scotty
August 28, 200916 yr What is your favorite addon or addons and why do you like them?ThaellarReality-XP gauges: GNS530, Flightline T and Flightline N.They have allowed me to enhance many of my favorite aircraft, starting with default C172, Maule, and Baron, and most recently, the RealAir Duke and Carenado Seneca. Of all my addons, I would miss them the most. :( Bert
August 28, 200916 yr Come on, having to pick just one? That's like picking just one... uh... I dunno. Food?Whatever I am flying at the moment then, if we can only pick one. Put a gun to my head and I would probably say Captain Sim 757, even though I have flown everything but during the last few weeks: the Connie, CS C130, Wilco EJet, Ariane 737 (it was close, but (current) lack of Navigraph support throws it to the 757), Aerosoft Twin Otter and Bush Hawk, Flight1 Coolsky MD80 Pro.
August 28, 200916 yr Yea, staying with just one pick is difficult. So I'll say my other favorites are GEX and Air Hauler. Tongass Fjords looks like another potential acquisition, but so far I've been able to resist its siren song. Don't know how long I'll hold out. Looks like the perfect area for bush/float plane Air Hauler base.Thaellar
August 29, 200916 yr That's an easy one for me to answer.Orbx and all my add-on airports and the Spitfire/sf 260 to fly in that beautiful scenery. MSFS

August 29, 200916 yr hi,A2A Boeing 377. Gorgeous, immersive, challenging. Fly by the book or die!!! For true aimen exclusively :(Yes, that would be a good choice for one airplane, and would reward the time investment.
