September 7, 200916 yr As some people have already noted, there is a bug with the tuning of the the ADF using the RMU. You can change the first two and last digits, but not the 10's inbetween. To get around this, use your FMS:1) Press TUNE, along the top twice, to get to the 2nd TUNE page, showing the currently selected ADF frequency2) Press the LSK next to ADF to highlight it, then enter the desired frequency3) Press Enter to confirm the new frequency4) Enjoy some "old school" navigation. Ah, if only FSX simulated coastal refraction and quadrantal error...
September 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member James,What exactly is the alleged bug with the ADF? I just tried it here and it seems to be working to me... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
September 7, 200916 yr Ah sorry Ryan, I thought it had already been brought to your attention. It's best decribed in this thread.Cheers,

September 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member I just spent a bunch of time rolling the ADF digits in the sim and I don't see this at all... hmm.If you want to try something for us - comment out the FMS from the panel.cfg for both the VC and 2D and then see if the digits work. That'll tell us if what you're seeing is somehow the FMS interfering. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
September 7, 200916 yr I've just tried commenting out anything related to the FMS + weather radar from the panel.cfg, but problem persists on my system.I can tune the digit after the decimal point using the inner knob and the hundreds + thousands in the range 1-17 using the outer knob (e.g. 17xx.5). The two digits marked with "x" are untunable. September 7, 200916 yr Same here, commenting the FMS out seems to make no difference. I've now noticed that the problem appears to be related to the turning on/off of the avionics bus. Here's what I do:1) Start a new flight, on the ground, in either the trike or C1722) Load the JS41 over the top.3) At this stage, with engines running, the ADF tune function works properly4) Shut the engines down as per the AOM5) With ground power established and selected, turn the avionics back on6) Now the RMU won't allow the tuning of certain digitsI had mistakenly believed this affected the aircraft at all times, as I had saved several flights with the systems either in cold & dark, or in a turnaround state.
September 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member The bug started for me after I used the FMS for the first time. I've been unable to tuned the hundreds and tens since. If the aircraft has two ADFs, why can the FMS only tune one of them???Best regards,Robin.
September 7, 200916 yr James,What exactly is the alleged bug with the ADF? I just tried it here and it seems to be working to me...Ryan: Mantis Item 1425.A second workaround for tuning the ADF is to use Ctril+Shift+A; pressed four times to change decimal, pressed three times to change units, pressed two times to change tens and one time to change hundreds. So far, I am aware that this bug presents itself in one of three ways: 1) Only on flights loaded from saved flights, 2) Free flight or loaded flight but during time that engines are going through intializaiton the ADF can be tuned but once engines are stable cannot tune units and tens, and 3) Not at all.Anyone seeing this bug that doesn't fall into one of these ways??
