You know why???"Because of the evergrowing FSX market and the technical possibilities FSX offers in comparison to FS9" - not their exact words but something along those lines. They say sales of MD11 for FSX went well over those for FS9 (which I can't really believe, but that's just me). Also they were selling MD11 in a package both FSX and FS9 so its virtually impossible to tell who bought it for FS9 or FSX.

In fact it was stated from the beginning this would be FSX only due to PMDG using new techniques that would never work in FS9, that is why....And I am not saying this to bash FS9, I am an FSniner myself but this model goes above and beyond what FS9 can handle plain and simple, that's why. It's a splendid creation however be prepared to spend numerous hours in the books that PMDG provides before you can even get it successfully started. There's a reason why the J41 made aircrews earn their 121 time--and why there's 4 hands in the cockpit.Rich Perry
