Avsim hack was obviously an inside job. Even Tom implied himself in a roundabout way from day one! The guy who was so trusted to 'Upgrade' his site, somehow screwed it up with all the access passwords and other info he needed - given to him by Mr. Allensworth himself. Sounds really weird. It wouldn't surprise me if not one prosecution results after all this, and in the end, this was just a giant red herring! A smoking gun without a bullet!

You are not far off the mark there..... (This is fact, not fiction or assumption). I know for a fact that even before the event the partitions on the hard drive were faulty..... Cast your mind back before the alledged hacking took place, you will find the library was offline.... This is not a hacker but simply they broke it by trying to fix it, and got very rich in the process...... Hats off to you guys, Hats off to you !!!

That is fine, I do not require any association with you. I was merely stating a fact, and alerting avsim users that they are being screwed over by the guy they just paid tens of thousands of dollars too......I see you are hiding the truth avsim, for the record my post stating some facts was removed by the admins.....

Why would someone do 'an inside job' and then put themselves in a position to have the thing investigated by the police by making a false report to them? That would be the dumbest thing on the entire planet, with the possible exception a post suggesting that someone would do it. I suggest you hold off on applying for that job as a rocket scientist.Al

I personally do not think this is about the police, but more about Tom and/or Avsim trying make money, just like he/they did from the users when they cried hack in the first place.....I suspect that soon avsim will be asking for financial contributions to help with the cost of legal representation......I really wish you had not censored my previous post, I did not post anything that was not fact - This secures my knowledge that you are simply attempting to screw your users and the Flight Simulation community on the whole.

I have to agree with you Cowboys it does smell a little fishy to me all that i have read seen about it doesnt ring true in my head.

...and we sometimes wonder why the AVSIM organization holds information such as this close to the vest. Just like the rumor and discussion over a new sim or addon, we have instant subject matter experts weighing in on the topics. This in and of itself isn't too bad, but when the discussions turn a little heated, it almost always overtakes any productive discussions. I wonder if it's in AVSIM's continued interest to keep us abreast of the situation, or just let it play out in the legal systems and give us a synopsis in the end (*even though that isn't owed to us either). -Greg

Greg,Exactly. I can say this... The English police have the log files; all of them. It is not in our interest to pander to the "spin doctors", two of which appear to have signed on today. Am shutting this topic down with the full knowledge that the truth will come and the spin types will ultimately be shown to be what they are.
