September 10, 200916 yr First let me say I love the new PMDG J-41. I used to fly a J-31 many moons ago, and the -41 is the closet thing to a real turbo-prop for FSX anywhere. Well done to the PMDG team!My questions is:How do I change the fuel load in the thing?I change the fuel to what I want in FSX, but it does not agree with the fuel gauges in the J-41 or the amount in the FMS.I.E.> FSX = 2060 and J-41 & FMS = 2942.If it is possible to change the fuel within the FMS I have not figured out how...except to allow the 800# for reserve. It seems stuck on 2942.Any ideas?Thank you,Jerry

The number on the w&b worksheet is for calculation purposes only, changing it does not change the fuel load in FSX. September 10, 200916 yr Author confirm that...Yes, I am changing the fuel load with the standard FSX menu.FSX>fuel & payload>change fuel>to: L35% & R35% = 2059.82 pounds. However: J41 gauges show L1471 & R1471 = 2942 pounds.Jerry
September 10, 200916 yr WOW, I get scared more and more....i wanted to load with my standard beech baron some other amount of fuel, e.g. 55%I haven't load up any other plane, just startet FSX and the baron.I have done this via FSX payload manager and after "ok" theres for a second 55% fuel in it and then it jumps back to 100%???no, I don't have unlimited fuel enabled.I never have seen this before. Can one of the other user test this behaviour, too?I can't say if this is because the J41...Just tested it with the Standard C172...sameYou can see, that the plane goes up a little bit due to the half of weight for one second and then goes down when the fuel jumps to 100% again..... :( I'm totaly scared what happens with my FSX since the J41 installation....guenter Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers, Andy.
September 10, 200916 yr Oh damned, yes Andy.... thats it! :( I feel so ashamed....oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no......Thank you very much and sorry to PMDG! This gave me a good laugh! :( As PMDG stated in one of their manuals, and I'm paraphrasing here: "If you bought our plane, it gives you the right to ask us any questions, regardless if they are stupid or not." September 10, 200916 yr "If you bought our plane, it gives you the right to ask us any questions, regardless if they are stupid or not."I vote hardly that PMDG adds ... but please not too stupid!!!! September 10, 200916 yr Commercial Member One point on refueling - do it AFTER you have loaded the plane into FS. If you do it on the free flight menu prior to loading, the load is going to get changed to a default value - this is something we had to do to prevent the airplane from loading overweight. Just use the fuel menu after you've loaded the panel up and you'll be fine. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

Not normal for FSX.To bad these little tid bits weren't included in the 700+ pages of docs.I still love the airplane...THANK YOU.Jerry
September 10, 200916 yr I'm surprised they didn't use simconnect to load the fuel from the load sheet, I thought it was a fairly simple task, I could be wrong though. Cheers, Andy.
