September 15, 200916 yr Author Sounds (pardon the pun) as if the author is using the cars as AI aircraft and that is indeed why you are hearing the Cessna sound. All AI aircraft in FS2004 use default sounds specifically created for AI and there are no default AI car sounds. There is no way to silence them that I am aware of other than using the Q key.Well in that case it Daniel Holm
September 15, 200916 yr Hi.I'm thinking about this in the same way as an aircraft point of view. Can't you just rem out the sounds by puting // in front of th sound files in question.Or, Create an additional sound folder and get the sceberys sound call to go to this sound folder instead of the one it's using right now, but REM out those sounds completelt ?Just a thought. September 15, 200916 yr As Opa said, All AI aircraft in FS2004 use default sounds specifically created for AI and there are no default AI car sounds.Your only option is to edit your own soundset for the cars, and replace the AI sounds in ...\FS9\Sounds with your files. They must use the same filenames. If you do so, all your AI 172's will sound like Volvo's, or whatever car you use.Hope this helps,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

Could not get the car sounds i downloaded to work either (yes, triplechecked everything). Just removed the cars all together now. Took care of that problem. Daniel Holm
