Start FS9Load CessnaGo to airport, RWY 24R, ready for takeoff.** Do not fly.Daila ILS freqYou will see both LOC and G/S active right there.** where is the G/S needle? It should be pointing above you.Maybe you could do a screenshot?BTW, the backcourse ILS works also.

ok well i have attached a screen shot of mine... as you can see, the needle jus stays horizontal when approaching 24r... but if i circle and approach 06L I intercept the glideslope and it works correctly...... i really dont understand why it isnt working for 24rcould another ils point be added just for 24R?

Is that a RED bar to the right of the G/S indicating OFF condition?Get 15nm out, on approach, 3000 feet, in cessnaThe G/S needle will be UP (above you).when you get 10nm it will be centered.Did you sit on the runway and do the test I mentioned (twice)?

both times i have been in the cessna i have taken off and circled the airport and approached from either side on frequency 109.50 , when i am approaching 24 the glideslope is inactive....but if i circle and approach 06L the glideslope becomes active.

My screenshot was ready for takeoff .... I cannot help more there. Is that a RED bar (in your screenshot) to the right of the G/S indicating OFF condition?Do this:Get 15nm out, on approach 24R, 3000 feet, in cessnaThe G/S needle will be UP (above you).when you get 10nm it will be centered.

ok so heres another screen shot, approaching 24r not sure how many miles out at 2100 ft, the glide slope is inactive.

Do this:Get 15nm out, on approach 24R, 3000 feet, in cessnaThe G/S needle will be UP (above you).when you get 10nm it will be centered.

I took off 6L and went to 2100 feet 109.5At 2100 feet G/S went from RED to ON.At 20nm from airport at 2100 feet the G/S goes OFF = REDSo, at 10 to 15nm 3000 feet you should be ok for sure.

right, heres another screenshot....3000ft....just under ten miles out..... no glide slope....... the needle does not move...no matter how far out....or how high or low... its always been like this and i have no idea why. RegardsMartin

First, How about ready for T/O RWY 24R 109.5 (screenshot).I want to see the G/S before takeoff. It should look like my previous screenshot. Then:You GPS in the lower left shows you are NOT on LOC.Can you get 10nm out "ON" the LOC (needle centered) and 3000 feet?Do not even touch anything on the GPS .... Then check G/S.

sorry but what does loc mean?and here is a screenshot ready for take of rwy 24r as you can see the glide slope is off...., if i take off from rwy 6l however.... it is onsorry i uploaded the wrong screenshot there,...... here is the correct one

LOC = localizer (the vertical needle). The RED (OFF) G/S when at RWY 24R means there is a problem with you airport file or you are using the wrong frequency..When ready for takeoff go to MSFS "map" view. While in map view verify what is the freq. for 24R.See if there is an ILS for 24R and 6L.Also, tune both NAV 1 and NAV2 to the ILS frequency 109.50.

I have tried all of the above but still the same, When i look on the map view and look at the ils for the airport, the frequency for both 06L and 24R is 109.50, i have lined up miles out with the localiser and still no glide slope. im begginning to think you dont believe me but it genuinley is screwed
