September 22, 200916 yr anyone any ideas? its really bugging me now lol, could i just create another nav frequency and ils for 24r or is that not possible? If you are using an older scenery (one that existed from before FS9) addon for that airport, be advised that older sceneries running in FS9 are not capable of having both ILSs on the same frequency. Only the base end will work. The ILS for the other end is gone. There is nothing you can do in AFCAD that can fix this as long as you've got that addon scenery. The addon overrides the AFCAD.
September 22, 200916 yr Ok,You said G/S is working for you on 6L, freq. 109.50, ready for takeoff, in Cessna. So, take off (like I did) and climb to 2100 feet.During climb G/S may go off the back on over airport ... bad signal area.Keep going, same runway heading at 2100 feet. The G/S stayed active until about 21nm out for me.What are your results? September 22, 200916 yr Kevin,My first thought was he said the AFCAD was correct so MSFS "should" use it without a problem.Do you think Martin could have purchased this 2002 scenery from Just Flight for use in FS2004? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

September 22, 200916 yr yep thats the scenery that i have, so i guess my only option is to remove the scenery? :(Yeah, that won't work correctly in FS2004. You can use it, but need to accept the fact that those ILS's that use the same frequency for both directions are only going to work for one of them.
September 22, 200916 yr I would try to change one of the frequencies and see if that works.Your choice, 100% realistic frequencies, or having ILS at both ends.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.

But usually you need to remove the backcourses on both as I mentioned earlier in this thread. But the original poster said that killed off the ILS he wanted to use so this doesn't appear to be his problem.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
September 23, 200916 yr Ok, so i changed the freq for runway 6L to 109.55 and tested the approach to 24R and it worked fine :) thanks for the help guys
September 23, 200916 yr Martin,Who knows what other problems could be caused by this older MSFS2002 scenery with MSFS2004 aircraft/navdata.In the event you keep using 2002 scenery with FS2004.And you need to post any problem(s) on any forum (AVSIM, Navigraph, Project Opensky, etc.).Then be sure to at least initially mention there could be an issue with the older scenery. Also mention any changes AFCAD you made to it when you initially post your problem. Some AFCAD changes could, for example, affect AI aircraft.Sometimes a problem may not at first seem to be scenery related ... like all of a sudden a CTD with a new aircraft. Or aircraft FMC navigation or ILS problems ... the list goes on! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

Sceneries made for FS2002 with the old scenery design programs, when installed in FS2004 will not allow the 3rd party ILS to work in both directions if the freq is the same. There is nothing you can do in AFCAD to fix this as long as the scenery excludes out navaids in favor of those that come with the scenery.
