Andrea,Thanks for testing.You are correct ....On my Windows Vista default UnZip program I get :Error 0x80004005:Unspecified errorSo, I now tried jZIP and it asked for a password also.I did not read on the new site that a password was now required ???

Maybe it will sound a bit off topic, but I recommend using the original AIP charts.They are always the latest up-to-date versions. Sometimes you have to register and log in, sometimes not, but it is free.

Rafal,Thanks for the information.But, the other site is one stop shopping for all European airports.Makes life much easier .. no searching required.I found an e-mail link to write to the author ([email protected] <[email protected]>) ... so I wrote and asked about the pasword to unzip the European Cities Airports pdf files.

If all you want is a pdf inside a zip, right click on the zip, explore, right click the pdf, copy, paste to your desktop or a folder. Easy.

That's something I've never had, and I have copied hundreds of pdf's in the past, so that error I can't help you with. All Avsim zips have a readme inside, can you copy/paste one of those, at least you will know if it's the original zip at fault.Just copied and pasted error message into Google, have a look.

Hi guys, I am Czech, so I can translate you the discussion. The main problem is that the site is lets say a grey zone, if not illegal at all. The author of the site did not give a statement about it but rumours are he will give the password only to trusted persons. Yes, I mean his friends.I have been using that site a lot, but with the new situation, simply use the google with the searching strings ABCD charts (where ABCD means the ICAO code). I am afraid thats all we can do now.

If the charts will only be available to his friends, for me that announcement makes no sense.Besides, isn't the act of making charts available in the internet, regardless of the fact if they're password protected or not, an illegal act? If they're ready to download I'm sure people who have the knowlegde will soon have the password. Just my two cents,Markus
