I just want to share my experience. I went the same way - from Sandybridge to Skylake. I had i5-2500K overclocked to 4.7 GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM and nVidia GTX660. I was pretty satisfied. After three years of great service, Sandy died - BSOD every flight. I bought the i7-6700K, paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM and GTX970. I overclocked the proc from 4.0 to 4.5 GHz. After a day of installing and slight tuning the DX10 in my sim, I completed my first flight. Wow. WOW! The fluidness was something completely different, even though I didn`t go beyond limiting the frames on 30 fps as suggested (I had the same on my old rig). Again, everything is so fluid. Textures are brilliantly sharp immediately, no need to wait couple of milliseconds to sharpen. Rainy, stormy and cloudy weather approaching T2G Istanbul in the great PMDG 737 NGX with full UT2 traffic, FSX Global and Vector? Absolutely no drop in fps, still smooth as the real life (OK, I maybe went to far in my excitement, but still..). Fantastic. All I can say: Sleep well, Sandy, this investment was worth every penny.

Solved, it was wrong Active Sky Next settings, maximum and minimum visibility.

Hi all, I've encountered a strange problem after rebuilding my FSX.cfg. I don't know whether it were flaps, but it certainly was something in FSUIPC. Problem solved by deleting the FSUIPC.ini file and resetting. Thanks!

Hi all, I have some serious problem with T7. After I installed latest SP, the plane has nose down by 2.5 degrees during climb. I did the whole plane setup as requested, and it has never happened before. I have set the correct trim value of course. Can someone point me at some direction where to look? Thanl you!

Update from me - the aforementioned flight was successfully completed - 11 hours, with ORBX Global, Vector and new LC. Strange...

Yes, you have been flying GEC since release, but you have installed the livery again after the update, right? Maybe PMDG changed something in the livery that causes OOMs? I mean, I don`t say I found the solution, but I have already completed two six hours flights with Emirates -300ER and was not able to complete the flight with GEC 77F. With this livery I got OOM after two hours from start. These are the things that were different from my successful flights s they can be the cause... 1) Aerosoft EDDF instead of Aerosoft EDDP or FlyTampa OMDB as origin airport. Maybe EDDF is heavier on the VAS and it then rises faster over the top? 2) 77F instead of -300ER. Maybe something wrong with the 77F model after SP1? 3) Lufthansa Cargo instead of Emirates Livery. Maybe something wrong in GEC livery after the SP1? Now, I`m currently doing ZSPD-EDDM with Air China -300ER, so far six hours, so far so good. Will let you know, whether I successfully completed the flight...

One thing at the original post made me curious. Yesterday, I finished my OMDB-EDDP flight with Emirates livery on -300ER with no problem. Today I fly (for the second time) with 777F in Lufthansa Cargo livery (same as in the original post) the route EDDF-OEJN. First flight crashed somewhere over Greece with OOM message, on the actual second attempt, where I disabled all payware sceneries except EDDF and OEJN, I keep hearing the FSUIPC beep again. No OOM yet, but the model is black and some parts are missing already. And I am flying over the ocean, with just a couple of small islands in sight! So, it may be that the Lufthansa Cargo livery causes the OOM? I will try yesterday some route with Emirates or any other livery again...

Yesterday I bought my wife 50 Shades of Freedom (released yesterday in the Czech republic), she bought me PMDG 777. I think it was the best deal I have ever made. The plane is just pure extasy. Easy to setup, easy to fly. Frames are superb - at EDDF with UT2 traffic in the NGX I clearly can see stutters as the computer tries to cope with all the traffic, buildings, cars, etc. (frames around 15). With T7 I am above 20 fps. I expected top quality product and I got more than that! Both my wife and I are competely satisfied...

This is exactly the reason I asked the question. Probably would help if I add my other specs...: i5-2500K OC`d to 4.7 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, PSU Corsair 850 Watt with 85 % certificate. I am somehow satisfied with the way my FSX runs, but If I could 4096 clouds on 8xS AA and stuff, it would be great.

Hello gentlemen, I currently have some free funds and considering upgrading my GPU. I do have MSI N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack 1GB, which is factory overclocked to its limits. It used to be one of the most powerful 460s on the market. Now I would like to buy 660Ti, also the most overclocked version I could get, and probably with 3GB RAM. The question is: Is it worth it? Will there be any noticeable difference in terms of smoothness, visual quality, etc? What exactly can I expect? Thank you for your opinion.

Dear gentlemen, I'm experiencing serious problem after reinstalling FSX and NGX. After installing NGX SP2c I'm getting Fatal Error crash of FSX anytime I try to select NGX no matter which variant. When original installer only is installed I can select NGX, but as soon as I install SP2c I always get this crash and error message. Could you please help me? Thank you. OK guys, here`s the deal. Recently I have experienced some issues with my FSX. It all started when the computer booted into 640x480 resolution several times. I reinstalled my GPU drivers every time, no help. Then I pulled out the GPU from the slot, cleaned the inside of the computer and the gpu and put it back. It worked for some time. Then I experienced different problem, which I described even here on Avsim forums (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/401724-fsx-hibernates-computer-please-help-to-find-a-solution/). Again, no help. And this weekend I turned on the computer after several weeks to give it a shot and fly again. I fired up the FSX and voila - no antialiasing on welcome screen. Ok, I started nvidia inspector, reset all values, clicked Apply and... no change. I rebooted the computer, did nvidia Inspector tweeks again and... no change again. Is the computer telling me my GPU is dying or what? Any way to test it? Thanks for help. I probably won`t have free money for the new GPU as we are in the middle of the process of buying a new house and on Friday my dear wife told me we might be expecting... So best answer I can get is - Don`t worry, pal, just click here and click there at it will fix your problem... But be honest - just tell me what you think...

Ad trees: Maybe a bgl file, but I really don't know...:-( Ad building crash: They should have been all removed, but apparently weren't. I fly with crashes disabled. But there's for at their website where you can tell them about bugs... I have a different problem which maybe you could help me with. I get wrong vectors by Radar Contact when approaching LKPR and RC window shows wrong runway heading, for example 282° for RWY 30, which should be 304°. Any idea what's wrong? Other airports work well with RC, and the author of LKPR says it's not a probelm within AFCAD... When you're at Prague, just send me a private message, we can have a beer together, I live there and know some good places...:D The real deal, not those tourist places...:D

Pete, you deleted the right one, otherwise you wouldn't have started FSX. The trees are a known bug as those objects are primarily made for FS9. Regarding the CTD over the city, I will try to contact the authors, but I have no problem at all. Do you have VFR above LKPR in your scenery library?

The new one uses some objects from the old one, but newer and accurate is the one mentioned in the first post.

The landmarks can be downloaded here: http://vfr-praha.ic.cz/index.php?clanek=download Look for "VFR objekty Praha 1.2" and when using FSX you will have to deactivate one bgl file, containing the word "pankrac". And deactivate ortho from LKPR scenery folder - there are files including ortho for airport itself and the city. I deactivated both of them, hi-res texture of airport is enough... And voila - you have the most beautiful city on the world in its whole beauty...:D In case you need some help, just drop me a message.

I use 0 within FSX otherwise some default traffic is displayed...

Thank you for your suggestions, great customer support.Finally it turned out it had been some sort of graphic problem, which I solved within fsx.cfg by settin poolsize=0.I don't know how can RC be connected to graphics, but it did the trick.

Hello. I suddently have a problem with RCv4. I did a fresh reinstall of both FSX and RC and when using RC i have strange stutters. It's not common and well known microstutters within FSX but as soon as first RC wav is played - usually ATIS - the FSX start to stutter, which looks like the picture got still and from this "photograph" new FSX graphic raises, if you know what I meanHow to describe it better - imagine still picture and while it is supposed to change as what you see changes, it doesn't and stays on screen for a fragment of second, which happens every few seconds. I hope I describe it well. If not, I will make a video.Without RC playing wavs my FSX is pretty fluid running at 30 fps limited externally by Nvidia Inspector.Strange is that with previous installation of FSX and RC everything was running perfectly.I tried to use newest FSUIPC, my RC is on a different hard drive than FSX, I have external USB sound card. Autologging feature of FSUIPC is disabled, I did some research here in the forum, found few with the same problem but no solution.Any help please?Thank you.
