October 1, 200916 yr In FSX, is there a way to:1. Adjust the view zoom setting so that when the aircraft loads with a Virtual Cockpit, the panel view is automatically wider by default?2. Reduce the default sensitivity of the hat switch which seems very 'acute' when panning around the virtual cockpit?I've tried reducing the joystick sensitivity settings within FSX but there was no noticeable difference - are these settings controlled via the fsx.cfg file? Thanks for any help.Toni.

October 1, 200916 yr I like the name of the thread, I hope you don't mind if this turns into a real "how do you thread" hehI've got one. How do you start each flight with parking brake enabled? I've looked in the fsx.cfg file for the entry but I didn't see it. I either overlooked it or it's not there? Jacek G. Reduce the default sensitivity of the hat switch which seems very 'acute' when panning around the virtual cockpit? You can change the initial zoom in virtual cockpit (among others) by editing cameras.cfg (same place as fsx.cfg).Look for the camera title Virtual Cockpit here are the lines you can play with:AllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.65SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0you might also play withPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0orMomentumEffect = YesYou could also create a copy to place in your aircraft.cfg (need to generate a unique GUID) to make per-aircraft variations, reached via the "a" key.scott s..
October 1, 200916 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the hand brake entry. Is there a way to limit the maximum zoom-out in the VC to 0.40 as opposed to 0.30? With widescreen set to true (which is how I want it) the zoom out at 0.30 just distorts the edges a bit too much for my taste/ Konrad
