Featured Replies

Hi gents,Long time I didn't have a twilight zone problem on my prefered A/C ...I did some flight those days, arriving EIDW, EGCC, EGNM, etc... on my PMDG B737, and each time, I captured the localizer, but I was far left of the runway :( , and I didn't go on the glide. AP just guiding me left from the runway ...I did again the arrival on EGNM with MD11: same thing !61baefc0bace9%38%309c30abf95ec67dt.jpgFMC was correctly configured, frequency and course set in B737...The only thing I installed recently was the 3D shockwave light thing...One more time I need your help and brains .Regards,Emmanuel Faudais, proud PMDG customer.

Go with the obvious and allow it to repair the FSX registry entries (or FS9 as the case may be).

I'am not familiar with the 737, the MD11 is more my plane. Thanks to the pictures, look at the problem this way:In general the FMA will tell the programmed AP and ATS modes.Refering to the MD11 picture, the aircraft will proceed as programmed (NAV), flying paralell to the LOC, but NOT intercept the LOC untill maybe very short final, which is too late for a GS intercept anyway.Use HDG or TRK to make a more 'agressive' Localizer intercept. In the 737 picture I see no coupled roll mode either.Hope it helps.Regards,Harry

Be sure it's not pilot error that causes the offset.Happy flying.Regards,Harry

Hi all,The registry fix dit it ! 3 tries last nite, all went well, glide slope back to normal.Regarding the pictures, the registry problem caused this strange approach. I'm fan of academic procedures normally ...On the B737 picture, well I used hdg to enter into the GS path (340 vs 360), but then I was unable to capture the loc (right course and right frequency). I did it again after registry fixing, and no more problem of this kind.Thank you for the time you spent helping me, and finding the solution. Emmanuel Faudais
