Panel Size and Triplehead to Go?

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm using a Th2Go with three 22" monitors. With some VC panels I have to zoom out to 30%, in order to see over the panel. Even with my Track IR helping, I have to move my position to a ridiculous level to be sure to see the runway on approach. Is there something I can change to help with this problem? I've never, up to now, messed with resolutions or eyepoints, but I'm hoping there is some solution to this problem.Regards, Jim H.

You should play with TrackIR software - adjust the sensitivity, should be OK. I am using very similar video config and found no problem with zoom x1.00 to x0.70

Thanks all. Changing to True did it. I didn't realise that my fsx.config had been changed. I'd had it set to true before, but had forgotten. How stupid can you get! Thanks again, Jim

Jim-I am using a similar setup, but with a 4th monitor centered below the top three like yours. Here is what I do: Typically when I start flightsim and load an aircraft, the 2D panel displays in a widely distorted way across all three top monitors. In windows mode, I right click the 2-D panel and "undock" it, then drag it down to the lower, 4th panel. That leaves all 3 top monitors for forward view, which I usually set to VC view, then tweak the eyepoint around so I see just the glareshield of the VC panel, but with the 2D panel big and bright down below on the 4th screen. You can drag any FS window down to the 4th monitor like this - GPSs, FMCs, throttles, radio stacks - and you can then hit Ctrl + Alt + Enter and resume fullscreen mode, and the 2 D panel and other windows stay put down below on the 4th monitor. Minimum FPS hit, if any. You can of course resize the panels / windows if you want! This idea was originally developed by Joe King of Longwood, Florida. Give it a try!Cheers,Alex ChristoffTowson, MD

Thanks, Alex,I'll try some experimentation. Currently, I have a fourth monitor above my middle 22". It's only an old 17" CRT, but I'd quite like to replace it with a 22" wide screen. I'm limited by the fact that the desk in my home office has to double as my FSX Cockpit. At present I mostly use the 4th screen for Flight Sim Commander, with the autopilot window if the aircraft allows it.Regards, Jim
