PMDG 737 Engine Shutdown every flight

Featured Replies

I have been flying the PMDG 737 for years now, 1,500 hours total time in the type. I never had this problem before, every flight the engines shutdown, I turned off all of my add ons, FS PAX, Weather, I un-installed- re-installed and same results. This happens sometime after push back, on final, and takeoff. Anyone know what the problem is?

Generators on after engine start? Cause if you takeoff only with APU AC power, eventually the APU will switch off due to exceeding max bleed alt

To all of you who claim to have NNN hours in the type. You can confirm it (or not) this way:Let's say we are talking about the PMDG 737-700. How many hours do I have in the type?.Go toC/Documents and settings/Your name/Program data/Microsoft/FS9/Aircraft/PMDG-737-700/State.cfgOpen State.cfg and you will read the running times for each engine.Easy :(

Sorry to everyone, I am not bragging here, I just want to let you know I have many years flying the type, so I don't think i am making any beginner mistakes procedurally that I know of. Like I said, it's never happened before, the engines just shutdown at random. Thanks Jason S

Jason,I remember having an issue with the 737 where the engines shutdown just after rotate, most frustrating. For the life of me I can not remember how i fixed it. Have you added any new programs to the flights sim or even the pc since it was running fine?

Check your patch level. In researching another thread regarding the stand-alone 800/900 the patch fixed a sudden engine flame-out/shutdown. It may apply to the 6/7. If you did a re-install depending on your download date you may need this service patch.
