October 19, 200916 yr Hi All,Well, despite my excessive FSX installation, huge collection of addon aircraft/scenery and my love affair with the 744, I've decided to go back to brass tacks and install FS2004 just so that I can install the 737NG series. I'm currently building a modest 737 pit (another story) and cannot wait for the NGX series to arrive. Can anyone point me in the direstion of some good training and technical books/tutorials/web pages to get me started with the 738?I found the Bill Bulfer FMC guides and the coclpit companion. They look like a must for any 737 pit. Also, I came across Mike Ray's Check Ride book. I've ordered that too, although it seems to focus on the 300. I'm also after some proceedural training too. Such as:- Flight planning- Takeoff proceedures- LNAV/VNAV- Decent proceedures- Approach proceedures (building an approach)- CAT I, II & II approaches- + Technical stuff: Systems, FMC use, MCP etc.Cheers,Ed Ed Haslam
October 19, 200916 yr I dont know if it's still available but there was an advanced 737 tutorial by Timothy Metzinger - perhaps a google adventure might turn it up.John Ellison

October 19, 200916 yr Try this:http://www.smartcockpit.com/They have recently had to elliminate some Boeing copyrighted material, but they still have lots of documents for the NG and for many other aircraft at a professional level. signed: José Luis
October 19, 200916 yr Ed,Another classic source for information on the 737 : http://www.b737.org.uk/Regarding the Metzinger tutorial, try to get v2, but I don't know if it is easy to obtain. One last suggestion, if I may : get FS2Crew. Rgds,Bruno
October 19, 200916 yr Author Hi Bruno. Ah yes, that's the one I'd seen before with the expensive book on it. I came across it yesterday. Another great site. I'll check out FScrew as well, thanks.Ed Ed Haslam
October 19, 200916 yr There used to be a COA FCOM on the net somewhere. Not sure if it was legally released as it is gone off of avsimrus, but if you can track it down it was over 2000 pages of info. Joe Sherrill
