Here we go again... MD-11X is not showing textures

Featured Replies

I want to add another possible cure for the missing texture problem.I just experienced this with the PMDG MD-11 and was pulling out my hair trying to figure out what was going on.After lowering my sound quality to "telephone", changing the compatibility to WindowsXP SP3 with no helpful results, I remembered that something similar had happened to me a long time ago. I recently had ghosted my 1 terebyte harddrive onto a new 2 terebyte and after trial and error, realized that my problem was piracy protections for some software addons that were not activating properly. For some reason, It was causing textures not to load correctly on the PMDG MD-11, even though that had been properly installed. The software in this particular case was FSDreamteam airports that were installed, but the Addon Manager didn't like being moved, so it wasn't activating the airports completely and corrupting other textures.I re-installed the Addon Manager, moved it closer to the top on the DLL.xml file (it likes loading early on) and re-activated all of my FSDT airports along with Qualitysim's 757.Then I loaded PMDG's MD-11 into KJFK at night, which is when the problem was worst, and had all of the beautiful textures loaded properly. So another thing to check if you are having this problem, is that all of your payware addon software is properly activated.Bob
