November 19, 200916 yr I assume it still flies the same direct GPS route?? Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |
November 19, 200916 yr I use fs9. When flying heavies, I always use high altitude jet ways, and have plenty of AI up there with me flying the same routes...so I don't think fs9 is GPS direct only. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
November 19, 200916 yr Author I thought FS9 was only direct GPS. I'm asking if in FSX it's possible for the AI aircraft to fly from one waypoint to another to reach its destination. Jacek G. November 21, 200916 yr that's correct.Ultimate traffic 2 uses the waypoint method. All other traffic uses the great circle route and flies directly point to point up to the arrival where it will get instructions from ATC.Those instructions do not map to the SID and STAR procedures used in real life.
