J41 wingtip lights

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me how I can get those red and green lights (plus the white flashing lights) on the Jetstream wingtips? If I press "L", I see a brief flash of either red or green (depending on the wingtip I am looking at), but they never stick around for more than a fraction of a second.

"L" in complex simulations like J41 never works. Lights are controlled manually from the cockpit (one by one)You need to figure out from the manual what button controls what (quick tip - they are on the overhead panel second row from the bottom and all of them are clearly marked)Ah, and one last thing - J41 does not have white strobes on the wingtips - 2 strobes are mounted on the tail and under the belly on a mast.

Thanks for the information. Maybe you could let me know which switch activates the green and red lights on the wingtips?

Assuming you are serious: The switch marked "NAV ON" in the LIGHTING section of the overhead panel.

This is my latest version of J41 lights using 3D Shockwave Lights. The nav lights are a little brighter.zach

The reason I asked the question is because using the NAV ON switch results in a brief flash of the green and red wingtip lights. They do not stay switched on.....

Are you using DX10 preview mode? There is a bug in FSX's DX10 mode in which various lights do not work properly.

No, I am using DX9 mode. It isn't a huge problem, so I can live with it. I might just switch on those nice, bright white recognition lights instead :(

HiWhen I see the picture of Zachiii, I would like to know if it is possible to switch the lights for the passenger cabin on ? ( I mean all the small windows on each side of the plane )I don't find the key to switch them on !Thx

Hi ?When you are in the cockpit look over what would be your right shoulder at the wall of the passage to the cabin and you will see a small white rocker switch, that

Hi Hodge.I see the cabin lights and when I push it on, the passenger area is not under lights. It is still black. Can you put a picture at night showing all the windows with lights ? ( if it works for you or someone else having the JS4100 )like on this one ( not the BAe ): http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss261/i...ic/arrival5.jpgps: I am also using the 3D lights redux from shockwaveThx and take care as well !ps: could it be because I am using a specific livery ( you did ) for that one ? or because of the configuration of the plane ( maybe it is not possible ) ? Anyway I don't succeed in lighting the whole aircraft.
