Best 747-400 panel?

Featured Replies

Can anybody recommend the best 747-400 type panel as freeware? Im unimpressed with the default panel of MS, and have a great B747-200 panel already from CLS.Eric

If you REALLY want a 747-400, the CLS isn't so amazing stacked up to another companies offerings with regards to realism ;). http://precisionmanuals.comSince you asked specifically about freeware though, the Ifly 747 is the best around for realism in that market. the Posky is the best visually.

4 letters: PMDGPMDG 747-400Worth every penny without a doubt!!

Yes, but PMDG is far from freeware of course. I agree, the iFly panel is wonderful, with full CDU included, though I am not sure if anyone sorted out the frame rate problems with the 2D panel??Martin

Have to agree with others: PMDG payware is best way to go. Nothing else comes close. Forget freeware for the -400. Get the real thing.I have most CLS stuff including the 747-200 which is great. I hope you love it and the superlative visual model.JS

Martin, I remember something about the panel background image, a black 1 x 1 bitmap. The solution was to enlarge it to, let's say, 1024 x 768 (that was my screen resolution when I flew the iFly 744). It's just a black image, the real panel is fully contained in the gauges. Hope this helps.Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did try changing the size of that bitmap a year or so a go, I remember the 'fix' being posted somewhere (haven't flown the iFly 747 for several months now) and nothing happened, but I can try it again. Thanks for the reminder, martin

PMDG.. simple. The CLS is a -200, and looking good, it is very 'lite' and the fuel panels is not working correctly. The best solution would be RFP panel with lets say a POSKY.. but need a lot of work on the FDE.Johan
