OK Guys, ive found a solution!!!!!Dont know why, but if you start fsx, windows get in a compatible mode and switch effekts off and start fsx. So we know thats ok, 'cause effects steal frames. Under XP is that ok, but belive me not under Win7!!!Its unbeliveble but go to taskmanager and kill prozess dwm.exe and you wont belive your eyes...Windows Deskop Manager (dont know in englisch, 'cause ive use a german version) will be resetet and you get your effects back but its ok. FSX run now in fast modus.

Omgf.... Thats a question you wouldnt ask me if you use more addons and anything. Go to an airport like aerosoft mega airports and use pmdg 747 and then have fun with 12 fps... With this cheat i have more than 25fps and this stable! If you want to fly with 12 frames or less thats your thing, but not my. ;) If XP give me this power, Win7 must be the same. If you read, ive solved my problem and have now fun with my fsx like in XP OS.

LOL! All this hoopla for a new OS like W7.Stay with XP 64 bit, FSX is built for XP, NOT Windows 7!

But you miss the benefits of No More Out of Memory errors....My framerates are 3 to 10 fps better with an estimated 20 to 30 % increase in graphics settings..Sorry yours did not work out as well, but just because you had issues doesn't mean everyone has the same problems.

I re-enstaled FS9.Now I'am lucky to get 5-15 FPS.It does suck.I have done everything on the forums,nothing is helping.I have FSX on another drive and it'snot bad.I took FS9 outtill I fix it.

I am running FS9 on Windows 7 with ATI 5850 card. I use the CCC software from ATI and when I first started up FS9 I thought I would be able to run everything maxed out. I too got 10-20 fps. Moving just one of the CCC sliders ( I cannot remember now and I am at work), and everything changed for the better, much better. i can fly a detailed addon a/c into Aerosoft EGLL with Active Sky giving me very overcast weather, and VERY heavy AI a/c and fps wont drop below 25. Most normal conditions the sim will run at 80 if i let it (locked at 30).If you are using an ATI card and are getting video issues (black pointer, flashing pop-up boxes) do a reinstal of the drivers/CCC. Worked for me. Setting MipMap to 4 in FS9 settings also cures shimmering.Peter
