November 30, 200916 yr Hi All,Last night I decided to give the Cloud 9 Schiphol airport a go as it comes with a trial period. I had a few problems with the update so installed it again jsut to make sure. When I installed it again and was sitting on the runway, I had what looked like the same scenery underneath and slightly offset, so I figured I must have duplicated something. After uninstalling the Cloud 9 software and deleting the files in the Cloud 9 folder, I was back to a standard airport but I am sure it is not the default MS version as it looked too detailed. I cannot remember installing a freeware EHAM and there is nothing pointing to Amsterdam scenery in my add-on scenery list within FS9, apart from the default MS Amsterdam entry near the bottom of the list.I also did a search for any other AF2_EHAM.bgl files which would point to another scenery being installed but nothing came up.I am really confused where this other scenery is coming from but have no idea how to remove it in order to install the Cloud 9 version properly. Any ideas what I should try next?
November 30, 200916 yr Maybe you will get a solution if you post this on the FSDT forum where Cloud 9 airports forum are now at.
November 30, 200916 yr Schiphol is one of the default enhanced airports so it will not look like most other default airports in FS9.I suspect you are seeing the default. To verify this go to ...\FS9\Scenery\Eurw\scenery and temporarily move Amsterd.bgl to someplace safe. Then check the sim.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
November 30, 200916 yr Author Great stuff, thanks Joe, I will give that a go.then I will have to try and work out why I am either seeing the default scenery underneath the Cloud 9 scenery or if I am seeing two versions of Cloud 9s :(
November 30, 200916 yr You can also download the freeware AFCAD file available here at AVSIM. If it shows you have a custom AFCAD installed for the airport you know it's a custom one, and the program will show you where it is installed. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B.
