December 1, 200916 yr This is what makes waking up to Avsim in the morning a lot of fun!The Captain Sim 767:A well written, entertaining, and informative review. Thanks!! :( Bert
December 2, 200916 yr I totally agree. If we were to review the reviews, this one would get a golden star :) It's funny, it's informative and answers most of the potential answers. Especially for the LDS drivers [i am one] a good read. thanks!Eric
December 2, 200916 yr Thank you for the kind words. I try to write a review that would be interesting to someone who is not a flight simmer.
December 7, 200916 yr Whilst I have in the past felt a bias towards Tim's clear support of Captain Sim in the AVSIM forums, in his reviews, I felt the 767 was a good, reasonably objective review, that covered the good, the bad, and the ugly !
December 14, 200916 yr Very informative and entertaining review. This is how reviews ought to be written. :( As an LDS 767 user I was tempted into buying the CS767 during their recent sale. Graphically it's very nice, and the systems are certainly complex. Sadly they are not much like a 767 in detail. They could at least have read a 767 manual. EICAS has some glaring errors (though it has some things LDS missed) and the FMC looks much more like a 747-400 unit. The lack of EFIS display options is a serious drawback. Glad I didn't have to pay full price for it. :)If you've never seen the LDS version (or read a 767 manual) and want something that is quite like a 767 and has (or will have) all the variants this is the one. Capt Sim have at least tried to model the three engine types. If you prefer fidelity over graphics LDS 767 is the right choice.Kevin
