December 3, 200916 yr I have some questions about the new 737-800 x2 by Ariane:1. Does it support terminals in FMC - like SID and STAR with complete data from Navdata - or should it be manually programmed waypoint by waypoint?2. Can you send some screenshots of the onboard flightdeck - only a few and lowres available in gallery.3. Does it support shared cockpit in FSX?4. Can HUD be toggled off?5. How realistic is the flight dynamics?6. Has it any callouts? Like "minimums" "80 knots" "V1" "ROTATE" etc?7. Does it work with Windows 7 32 bit?8. What do you think about in general.Hope someone can answer this onecheers // Jesper Giørtz-Behrens ------------ Graphics artist for Prosim737 panels
December 3, 200916 yr Alan Bradbury did not so much a review as a PhD thesis on the 737-900. That's a good place to start. Petraeus

December 3, 200916 yr It does not enjoy Navigraph support. It does have its own navdata, but it is not as complete. Still, should be fine for most major airports. They are working on a route programming tool. Note that VNAV is not completely implemented, if you like to let the airplane fly all the way down by the FMC -- most pilots don't. Personally, it is a non-issue for me, but might be for you.No screenshots, but the flight deck looks good, IMO. You can see some in my FS Altitude review -- look for the out-the-window shots over Australia.Don't think it supports shared cockpit.HUD is toggleable. (Say that ten times for fun.)Flight dynamics are where it shines, IMO. It is a joy to hand-fly.Don't know about Windows 7, but forum reports say yes.It is one of my favorite airplanes, although many people dislike the company for various reasons. That has been hashed to death. Frame rates are among the very best of my collection. No liveries are currently available since they and McPhat had a falling out, so unless you enjoy flying a green unpainted version that nicely shows off the different construction materials, or a Boeing house paint, you will have to wait for them to put their new paints online.
December 3, 200916 yr just because you don't think pilots do, doesn't mean that excuse is a valid reason for something not to work. Most pilots use v/s instead of alt change, should that excuse them not programming one or the other correctly? And I seriously doubt Ariane contacted any 737NG pilots to get an accurate representation of flight dynamics. I would go with the PMDG offering by a country mile unless it was for FSX, then I would save my money for other companies offerings. Even Captain Sim realized what good customer service and better quality releases can get you in the community as far as respect. I wish a NG was available because its my favorite short haul airplane, but still no navdata after how many months of coming soon promises?
December 3, 200916 yr Just save your money for PMDG's NG. Sure it won't be out for a long time but at least you won't be giving hard earned cash to a slimeball company.
