Problems with RC

Featured Replies

Hi there,I have been using RC for some time now and I am enjoying it very much, and I can not go back to the default ATC. However, I have been encountering some problems.1. FS will crash if I use the "check for weather" option at certain airports, such as KSFO(fly tampa) and EGLL(aerosoft). The problem happens because RC and FS have different ATIS frequencies. So, changing the RC frequency and making it the same as FS's should solve the problem. But it would be nice if there was a fix.2. FS will crash at certain airports when I contact ground after landing. I experienced this crash at LEMD(aerosoft) and LEBL(simwings).3. FS will crash at various airports when I am on short final but only with PMDG b737 and b747, so they are not flyable with RC. At first I thought it was the scenery, but I uninstalled FS and RC and reinstalled without any add on sceneries and it still happens.I would love it if you could help solve these problems. Thanks in advance.P.S. I have the latest Makerunway and FSUPIC. NAM

Hi Nam,I cannot understand why you are having these problems.I have all of the scenery which you mention except I use UK2000 Heathrow Extreme and do not have your problems.I am running FS9 on Win 7 32 bit. What is your set up and FS version.RegardsNorman Bowman

I am using FS9(no cd patch). I run AI smooth and world of AI. I should mention that I installed my traffic and then delete the bgl file so I can use its afcad for default airport. And world of AI. I run PSS B777 and wilco Airbus without any problems except for the contacting ground problem at LEMD and LEBL. But the PMDG problem is everywhere including default airports.Yeah, and the same happens on both my laptop(win 7) and my desktop(XP).

I'm using the PMDG 737s with no problems. In FS9 there is a fix where certain frequency sequences can crash it. An example might be where you are switched from approach to tower as you are on final. The fact that you changed the ATIS frequency indicates this could be the case. The 737 does use FSUIPC as well for some functions. First be sure then you are running FS 9.1 (that includes the patch). Then, if you are not running FS9 ATC add this to the General section of your FSUIPC:RemoveATC=YesThis will not affect ai movement. FS9 at times does not like other ATC programs running with its own running in the background. As always be sure your FSUIPC is up to date from the link indicated at the forum top section.

Thanks Ronzie for the advice and I will give it a try.JD, thanks for the response and I will try to recreate it and send you log. I, also, have a small problem. At EGLL (aerosoft), where there are multiple entries to a runway. After tuning to tower, it ignores me being there and would clear other AI aircrafts for take off but not me. Even after I enter the runway(and get shouted at). I take off and it will hand me departure like normal but never gives me a take off clearance.Nam
