This is a great thread!I'm interested, because in the back of my head, I have this idea that what I would like to do is get 2 14" lcds with touchscreen overlay that I would put 2 G1000 displays on, including the bezel mounted controls (that would use the touchscreen feature). I think if I had this I could get away from the whole VC - 2d thing and just use my panels + something for ancillary panels and outside view.scott s..
Hi ScottGlad you like the thread. I had hoped that more Developers would comment as well as folks like yourself who are looking for ways to move the hobby forward. So for, other than Eaglesoft kind of saying that they were too busy to make anymore money it has all really kind of been a bit of a letdown. I know there must be more than just you and I looking for ways to make improvements. I find that kind of sad really. There are really a lot of smart and talented folks on this forum everyday. Really wish the communication process was better and less back biting. I mean if you think about it, I am saying to the Developers...we will spend more money if you try and work with us and so far not one company has stepped up to say "Hi, I would like more of your money! Strange really..and before someone takes a shot at me.. :rolleyes:I do have a sense of humor about it!...Strange really

The Dev's are listening , in fact we try to anticipate what's needed for the home cockpit builder .When the Cirrus Vision was designed the panel's G1000 units were made to have eachof the screens as popups that can be dragged onto supplementary monitors or just to have big ones handy to programin the VC .

Sam, there are legitimate reasons why your suggestion may never come to fruition.1. Every development house uses proprietary methods and techniques which often do not overlap.2. Some development house go outside the FS SDK to achieve some feature which breaks compatibility with others.3. There is healthy competition which often precludes development house communication with others.4. Standard human misunderstandings play a part in decision making and how to address support for other vendors integrations. Finally, there is no clear cut method to determine to whom and how the "great influx of money" would be handled. :(
