So does anyone have a clear answer to this. Does the fmc get its data from the afcad, which I changed and saved or do I have to imput the ILS into the fmc folder itself. If so How do i do it. For example I have changed the greek airpor of lgkr to a ils of 110.90 with the headed 163

It can be confusing, Leif. Vincent, both the AFCAD and the navdata have parts of the picture. The FMS gets ILS info from wpNavAPT.txt, but the radio "signal" depends on the scenery file or afcad. Ideally both these are the same, often there will be minor differences in course and once in awhile neither agree at all because runway numbers change and occasionally a frequency will change.

I have read the above thread sir. Let me explain it in a little more detail . I changed LGKR to ILS. For example runway 17 now has a ILS of 110.90 with the heading of 167. Now I saved the afcad reranfsnavigator so that that Ils shows up in fsnavigator database. Done. Now i look for that airport in the fmc folder as mention above. However when i go to look for it it is not there in that folder. I do a "find" in order to search for it but nothing. I try the city, the airport code. Now if I do find it how do I change the ILS. not trying to be dense just tying to learn.

I had to go back and look at Jose's post. I regard him as an expert on the 737NG but the file you want to modify is the wpNavAPT.txt file.Search in that file for LGKR and you'll find:KERKIRA LGKR17 07785166 39.610953 19.909539000.0016600005KERKIRA LGKR35 07785346 39.592050 19.914539000.0034600005The decode for this is here: http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/NAVDATA_Data_DictionaryI think the only ILS data in the wpNavAID file are those that are part of the enroute structure, not sure about this; however, I am certain the FMS gets the ILS data from wpNavAPT.txt.
