Danny are you still having install problems? The product does work. Have you tried deleting all versions and redownload PMDG that your using. I think I had this error but cannot remember what I did. I thought it was a dll file. Not sure. I would re buy and PMDg product if the next version was for 64bit P3D. A game that will use more than one core and more than 8gb or Ram, hell yeah!!!. I am using 6700k skylake and 32 of ddr4 ram with an old GTX 970 card soon to be GTX 1080. I am getting at payware airports 25-35 fps inside the cockpit and outside 45-60 depending on the scenery. Not bad for me , as I went back to playing the sim again as it is worthwhile now

Well when you think about it FSX when it came out for the deluxe version was about 70 dollars. I paid for the academic for prepar3d as not to go thru month to month payment. I would hope the fee for the pmdg products for p3rd will not be too much as the ifly 737 for p3rd is 70 dollars. Most devs re released thier add ons for that platform for free. I know...what!!! This is a very good company (pmdg) so for a small upgrade fee for a great product(s) would be fine for me...just hurry up as I cannot fly p3rd until pmdg converts

Using fsupic and adding settings for joystick commands thru it works. I have prepar3d v 2.4 and no issues with it using joystick thru the flight sim and not fsupic. Will use fsupic anyway for joystick commands anyway, such a nice feature.

What is special descent? What airport or airports are you at? Out of memory or oom is from fsx running as a 32 bit software and fsx not able to make use of no more than 3 or 4 ram. It is a fsx issue. You can research tweaks and fixes. I find mixed results about tweaks. There is not much you can really do. High end payware airports and planes use a lot or ram. I hope you find a more of an answer. I am looking into x plane as it is a 64 bit and uses all ram you have

I see after my above post someone mention they are using PMDG 777X in Prepardv2. I thought this was not so according to PMDG website. Did things changed and I missed the boat? Any feedback please.

I see the debate continues. You have very loyal people to FSX and people who are tired of FSX and looking for something new because of the limitations of FSX. I have to agree that FSX got us going when it came out but Microsoft left us hanging by not developing a new version to go along with 64 bit OS. I think we all can agree we feel a little short changed when it comes to that. I think if we did not get OOM messages this debate does not happen as we would demand more add-ons, more planes, more.... and more. It is nice that X-Plane is 64 bit but has enough testing been done to see if there are any bugs? It has been out for awhile and still not a lot of add-ons, pay ware anyway. Is it time for a new Flight sim? Yes, but what will it be?who will it be? Will it be easy for Devs to make add-ons for? I like the what X-plane has to offer as a 64 bit program and be able to use all my Ram and hardware but at closer look it does not look any better than FS2004 as far as graphics in my opinion. Also what about A.I traffic. I see it comes with traffic but a lot of old liveries. What about moving jetways? Will it be AES? How much more money are we willing to spend to buy add-ons we already have for a new platform? How long will we wait for the products to become available for the new engine? X-plane 10 has been out awhile and not a lot of add on product support for it right now. I think the way to go is Prepa3d. I think it has great potential but still limited to 32 bit and single core platform. It would be nice would give the Entertaining license to Lockheed and Lockheed wanted to recode the FSX engine. I do not know or have the answer so I guess will we have to wait and see what happens. As far me if anything I would love to see the new planes being develop. I would love to see 787.A350 and A380. I wish enough info was out for the 737MAx and 777X. I know after this post the debate will continue and this is just my opinion. Go into fsuipc. move your yoke for aileron. Now if you set it before and you had "send toFS as normal axis" ticked. Untick it. Move your yoke for aileron again except this time tick "send toFsuipc calibration. Check the first box and scroll down to Alieron. While still in Fsuipc go to joystick and move your yoke you shoud lsee movement there under the ailerons.Make sure you have a profile in fsuioc to save it in. Now when you exit back into FS you should move your yoke and see the ailerons move with the PMDG 777. Do the same for rudder if you are having problems there. I have the Saitek yoke and rudder pedals. Hope this helps. By doing this I no longer have joystick disappearing in windows 8.

I want to ask all who are having this issue. Are you running fsx in windowed mode? What graphics card are you using? If in windowed mode, do you have multi monitor setups? Are you placing FMC, REX..etc on the other monitors if so are you clicking on other windows outside of FSX while playing. I discovered that clicking on other windows in fsx in windowed mode my joystick goes out. control ALt Delete helps sometimes but not a great fix. I am trying to test in FSX while in full screen mode. I am running ati driver 13.4. Will try an older version and see if that works. For some reason in windows 8 my task bar is on all 3 screens, not like that in windows 7. I thinking this issue is a multi display mode while in FSX windowed mode. My guess. Any thoughts? Sure would like to solve this problem.

I hope you firgured this out by now but if not here goes. The afcads are in a different folder. If you look in the airport files itself like rjgg you will see no afcad. The utlity does not put it there for some reason. To find it and I cannot remember right now as my gaming pc is off. In the c:programs86 there should be a simmer's sky folder. Inside there you will see the airports you installed and the afcads are there. Just copy into the correct folders where the airports are installed in the scenery folder and your done. Just one more note. I used world of a.i for traffic and it wored well. I just copied the simobjects/airplanes..world of ai planes into the prepar3d. Copy the traffic bgl files into Prepar3d and bam. A.I traffic.

Good day.I have FSX and Pmdg NGX. I have subscibed to Prepar3d for 10.00 USD. No problems with the platform. I copied my FSX Pmdf folders into Prepar3d folder. Prepar3d is FSX. The same file and folders that are in FSX are in Prepar3d. This of course means the default folders. I did get the PMDG plane to work. The only thing not working was the hud. There was no info on the hud. I said the same thing in the Pmdg forum and was told was missing a dill file to be copied over. I saw no difference in flight dynamics. The plane flew well. I also did the same thing with the IFLY 737ngx. No problems there. Prepar3d detected the dill for IFLy was not there but the plane loaded anyway with all gauges no problem. You can also copied the default planes as well. You have to remember to not only copied the plane files but the gauges and sounds and dills.(modules). I have an I7 single core 2.8 machine with 8gbs of ram. My frame rates are ugly. I will wait until I get a quad core overclocked machine. I think this product will have a good impact for FSX users. The product has nowhere to go but up. It is good now and will be great later. MyTraffic has already done a product to install into Prepar3d. FSDreamTeam has done the same. Just a hint. I had to uinstalled the Dreamteam products from FSX first then click install. The installer will detect if Prepar3d is on your system. It appears to me from reading and internet hints that Prepar3d will have updates. That is the good thing about having a monthly fee. the product will have updates. The only downside is that it will take time for all developers to redo the installers so your installation is just a click. As said before FSDreamteam has done this already. Aerosoft has posted links to products that are prepar3d. If aerosoft is doing this then I know this program will do well. I did not play it alot becasue I do use FSpassengers and could not get it to work in prepar3d, copy and paste did not work. I will have to go to that website and get some insight. Prepar3d is a nice program with a lot of potential in my opinion. With a 10 dollar month fee I cann see where updates can really make this program make FSX a lot better. I was able to get the Pmdg 747-400/8 to work. Just make sure you copy the fonts folder as well. In the Ngx The hud is blank. I have to look to see what I missed. The only thing that stops me from playing this or FSX is just I have a single core 2.8ghz pc. Too much of a strain for my Pc but it does look nice. FSDT has installers taht will detect P3d. I just uninstalled the airports redownloaded the intallers as of date.(13 jan2012). Clicked on the intaller and boom p3d detected and airports installed there. You will have to click on the installer again if you want it to be installed into FSX. Just in case you wish to go back to FSX. The new program is not a replacement of FSX. It is a license clone of FSX to make it better to its full potential. This just my thoughts on this program. I am sorry if this topic is in the wrong spot.Vincent

That would just overwrite my add on liverly will it not? I tried doing a side by side file comparsion to see what is missing. I added the missing textures but still not corrected. Any Thoughts?

I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. I am just looking for the windshield wiper textures for the 737-600 in the Virtual Cockpit. They are not black but a hazy unpainted texture offwhite sort of.

Thanks guys. Any recommended panel that is better than the default panel. I am just so use to FMC so hard to go back. I have overland planes which I do not fly at all now. I use PMDG Level D and the PSS 757 and 777. I have the captain sim when it first came out with the 757. After so many bugs and install problems and buying so many blocks that now that I have it to work. I do not fly it. I am glad I read somewhere that PMDG is doing a 777. Very nice if that is true. Now that I have an I7 pc and 8 gigs of ram I am flying FSX more. Just need a good video card. Any ideas on what to get? What is a top of the line video card?Vincent

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I was wondering if I could use the pmdg 737 2 d panel in other freeware planes? Will the fmc work if you do this? I found a plane the HSST. I like it. A very nice future concept of air travel. The default panel is just lacking and after learning the fmc thought it would be nice to be able to use it in another plane.Vincent

I have read the above thread sir. Let me explain it in a little more detail . I changed LGKR to ILS. For example runway 17 now has a ILS of 110.90 with the heading of 167. Now I saved the afcad reranfsnavigator so that that Ils shows up in fsnavigator database. Done. Now i look for that airport in the fmc folder as mention above. However when i go to look for it it is not there in that folder. I do a "find" in order to search for it but nothing. I try the city, the airport code. Now if I do find it how do I change the ILS. not trying to be dense just tying to learn.

So does anyone have a clear answer to this. Does the fmc get its data from the afcad, which I changed and saved or do I have to imput the ILS into the fmc folder itself. If so How do i do it. For example I have changed the greek airpor of lgkr to a ils of 110.90 with the headed 163

I understand that. Where do I find it exactly. For example if I wanted to change kphl ILS where do I find it to change it in WPNavaid. or give tncm a ILs. I know how to do it in ttools. I just wanted to know for my own self worth. I am planning on how to repaint and build airports. So just wanted to know. Thanks for your help guys. What you think of the 787 this week. I have the abacus 787 for both fs9 and fsx. What a crap in fs9. In fsx it is a little better. I will never buy from them again. No real support at all. The hud has no info at all. It is blank, how did they miss that. However if you have fsx just go into the panel.cfg and compare the two and just copy and paste that file into the fs9 panel. However the cockpit is dark. No lighting at all. The wings are way over flexed. Anyway not trying to bash another product here. I am glad that Pmdg does fine work. When i install fs9 on the new pc the only plane that i will install will be pmdg and level d and the pss 757. I do not know how well the capt sim 757 works now or even on fsx but I am not going to install it. I am looking for a good 777. I like the simmer's sky fly the Boeing collection however I now love fmc planes. A very nice touch. Well let me stop babelling. Peace
