Next PMDG Aircraft?

Featured Replies

Anyone know what the next PMDG aircraft will be since the 777 maxed out the heavy jumbo jets?......it would be nice if they could put out a real quality prop or even turbo prop,  I have the JS-4100 and it is a fantastic dream of an aircraft,  it would be nice if they could put out a high quality but much larger prop aircraft,   is there another aircraft in the works or has PMDG stopped putting out aircraft after the 777?

Hi

Do a forum search. There's two new aircraft in the works. They still have the T7 service packs and the NGX service packs as well. Then they are doing a new 744 and 748 an a DC-6

Regards

Thats great news!!!....2 props I could just love and another aircraft type I had been waiting for to come out instead of the 777,....the 744,    I did not buy the 777,  I actually am extremly happy with the 737ngx,  but I will buy all three of those aircraft given they put them out with photo realistic cockpits and accurate flight modeling,  I will grab those up real quick,  I hope you are correct with your information that those are really next in line for PMDG....much appreciated!

I think you misunderstood. They are doing the 747-400 and 747-8i or whatever Boeing calls it now.

And a DC-6

They are not doing a Hawker 748 which I think you thought is what I meant.

Next up should be the 777 service packs, there are a couple of bug fixes to patch there.

737NGX is also getting a service pack which I believe will add some new features as well as patch a few minor things.

The current Boeing 747-400 is really really old. It's getting an "update" in the same way the 737NG for FS2002/2004 got an "Update" to 737NGX, as in it's a completley new product.

777-300ER is going to be an expansion pack like the 737-600/-700 were an expansion of the 737NGX -800/900. Most of us hope it comes with GMCS (Taxi cameras) and so on.

Alot of the work above requires lots of flight data/avionics modelling and not too much Virtual Cockpit/fuselage visual modelling. The DC6 project was made to keep the Visual modelling/texture guys busy while the avionics guys have their work cut out on the 777 and 747. The DC6 doesn't have FMC/GMCS/MCP/complex autopilots etc, so while the guys that do that kind of work finish the 777/747, the visual model experts get to make a DC6.

 I just can't wait for the -200ER & -300ER. I'd also like to see a 737BBJ sometime soon.

I think the 747 V2 is at least a year and a half away, of course it's a guess, I hope I'm very wrong and we get that sooner.

What type of things will the 737 ngx service pack add?

I want the Wright Flyer. But I'm afraid its systems are far too complex for today's coding technology

I think that's why the woodpidgeon is first, easier to code for them to learn for the Wright Flyer.

Its been a day. Can I start another " What's next thread"? I dont want to search.
