  1. I'd like to see, and gladly pay for, the cockpit geometry fixed but that's apparently never going to happen due to their HGS VC implementation, which I personally don't even use. Yeah- this forum has definitely a handful of those, they can't get enough
  2. I hope everyone is warned about their deceptive advertising and products, so many people disappointed, or should I say ripped off. Specially the younger, unexperienced simmers. I can think of this and maybe a couple other companies that should send an email to the naive victims of their scam after purchase "haha!- we just got you, punk!"
  3. I had the same issues after reloading, both the 10K fpm descent and oil temp & pressure failures. Will see if it happens again.

Honestly, I don't know whether to buy the 300ER, the Coolsky DC-9 or the CS L-1011. I'll probably end up with the 300ER the day of release but I just have the itch for another classic.

  6. I think (or want to believe) we are sophisticated people with a rather complex and special hobby and thirst for knowlegde, we should be able to have a debate without getting hurt and go off topic and personal. Being humble will not make you a pvvsy, being an arrogant know-it-all will not make you a respected man, in fact, everyone hates them. Popularity in this forum is extremely misleading, it's easy to be a keyboard warrior isn't it. Leave the Air Force Officer attitude for those who are actually entitled to have it. I know people who wanted to be pilots but their eyesight wasn't good enough or had other physical-or-not issues and had to take other roads... some not even in the aviation industry anymore. They would puke if they knew how the kind of men who are already successful (or even take part) in the industry are. Just my 2 cents, of course.
  7. Really? I've got the same hardware as you with both NVIDIA Insp. and fsx.cfg tweaked and low settings and it can barely handle the 777. Maybe I should double-check my settings...
  8. Hi Avianca, love that airline, Ilived in Colombia a couple of years, nice memories. I'm afraid there are not MD-11 nor B747 "profiles" in the OC. I think they'll wait for the B747 V2 to open it up and the MD-11 is no longer on the eyes of PMDG so that might be the reason it's not there.

Some guys have had issues, precisely CTDs, when using AES related to disablepreload=1. It seems the issue stops when this line is removed. I don't have AES to test it myself though.
  10. Maybe the robotic arm movement is more dinamic, faster and easier to simulate real flight maneuvers? I'd like to get in there  it makes sense it's a small cockpit, a larger one may be too heavy for this design.
  11. It's pretty good actually, too bad it's heavy on the performance side but that's my laptop's fault.
  12. Did you even read the update? He said "I can't wait for you guys to get a chance to fly the 300ER... It is rapidly becoming one of my favorite airplanes because it just FEELS right. It is an entirely different flying experience than the 200LR..." Can't wait.
  13. On the 737-777, I arm the A/T until lining up with the runway because I've actually had accidental engagement a couple of times. My keyboard commands for the 777 on this matter are T and Y for left-right A/T and U for TO/GA.
  14. I've seen a couple of B737NGs land without them too here at MEX at night and another turn them on almost at touchdown, also an Air Canada A319 taking off without strobes. That AC one was weird as he even turned the logo lights off before the roll. I also hate missing to turn any light on when I should.
  15. I also think PMDG has already enough things to work on, for a while. Maybe QWS' 787 will be ok, anything better than the Abacus 787 that seems to suck at inconceivable levels. Seriously, it must be the worst payware add-on in the history of PC flight simming.
  16. Me too, in fact, I think I would trade everything else in SP2 for only this fix if any case. But anyway, has any PMDG guy ever said anything on this matter? R. Aranda S.
  17. That's funny, flying a 777 and the only thing they can't master is the clock  I know a B77W Captain for 9W, I'll ask him about it. I'd certainly like to have this option.
  18. There is enough 737NG & A320 passenger service demand for both new and used airframes to get Freighter conversion programmes cancelled. That's what Airbus said for their A320F two years ago anyway.
  19. Wait, I can think of one… even lower fps.
  20. If see you want to fire it up and fly already, it's fine! but you don't want to be a monkey in a plane so sooner or later you'll want to read the manuals and make the tutorial flight to get started. It's not a lot of work at all. Maybe when you learn to use PFPX+TOPCAT it'll take you just a bit more time to get started with your flight but that's it. Also, remember it's planning the flight what makes it special. Now, if you are in such a rush go can get your route from the FSX Flight Planner (default) or FlightAware.com for example. Then go to SimRoutes.com, paste it and download it in PMDG format. Cut and paste the file in your PMDG 777 Flight Plan folder. In the FMC copy the co. route code and activate. But there's so much more to do than load the flightplan that you should definitely start with the tutorial flight. I can see that having the CS 777 did not help much. Our friend scandinavian13 did the video for the written tutorial and it's pinned at the top of the 777 forum. Welcome and don't be afraid of learning, it's well worth it and very rewarding. Good luck!
  21. I think we're not even sure how far is the -200ER release. Imho, they will make all engine variants for the -200ER, or at least that's what I wanna believe  but that probably will take quite a bit of time. All guessing. I hope Santa is having the -300ER type rating refresher course already so he can arrive on time at Christmas :Praying:
  22. Love it, thanks for sharing!
  23. So jealous. I should get an Alienware for Christmas :Alien:
  24. I don't know if the booklet has images but why don't you go to Youtube and search for NGX tutorials or NGX FMC tutorials. There are some really good videos showing all you can do with this FMC. Try the same routes with the procedures they do and then, with more experience try again what you want to do. Of course, just a suggestion.
