Delivery Routes

Featured Replies

Hello, I was wanting to know if anyone knew or couldfind out the delivery routes that Boeing uses to deliver aircraft to specific airlines.thanks, Christian

anyone?Christian

Okay thanks!!!Christian

I couldn't find anything...christian

Can you at least be a little more specific? delivery routes to WHAT airlines?

Besides KPAE also look at KBFI (Boeing Field). FYI today KPAE is showing test flights of a B772 (as call BOE1) and KBFI is showing a 787-800 flight also as BOE1.At either of these fields look more at the aircraft type numbers. When an aircraft is released to an airline it may initially flhy under a registration (tail number) or airline flight number. In a few cases they may in smaller aircraft temporarily install additional fuel tanks (in the cabin to be removed later) to accommodate a really long ferry flight. Sometimes the first leg might be to a nearby field that has really long runways to where they will board more fuel into the extra tanks for a very long ferry flight. With the preceding long holiday weekend this was not a good weekend to search. In addition, there are not daily deliveries so it is just a matter of catching it.http://boeing.mediaroom.com/ or boeing.com for a larger airliner delivery might have a news item with the delivery date(s) and then you can search flightaware within their two or three day data window under departures, then next40, until you find something.

I don't think there are "Specific Routes". If say, Joe Smith Airlines ordered 20 787's from Boeing. Who's to say they would be shipped to the same place for his 1 airline? I don't know how aitlines are, but I drove a truck for Budweiser and when we got knew trucks they were delivered to different places, one of which was our maintenance facility. I know they are not delivered all at once for such an order, but would they still go to the same exact place? I imagine "Joe Smith Airlines" has their main facility and would want to stock them and do their own customizing etc... but would they still always go to the same exact place following the same exact route every time? I know allot of routes are seaonal also, but even those routes can be changed and modified for various reasons per flight, storms, winds, time, etc...I can't speak for other flightplanners, but I use VROUTE. I would just find out their main facility ICAO and run a query for routes to that destination. In the list that comes up are different notes per route, one of which is "FAA Prefered Route". Something along those lines or free web flight planning might offer similar.

Well I watching an Extreme machines documentary on the 747 and it followed the building process of a 747-400 for Lufthansa. At the end the pilot for lufthansa flew the jet from KBFI to Lufthansa Technik in Germany... I was really wanting to find out that particular route...However, I do thank you all for the replies....Christian

that route is depending on winds, temperature, storms, etc. Just create a flight plan using routeplanner free from KBFI to EDDF and that will be a similar route.

Thanks Ryan Christian Aponte
