Much Needed 747-400X Repaints.

Recommended Posts

Guest averredude101
Hi,I've recently noticed that out of the extensive range of liveries available for the PMDG 747-400 for FSX, there are still a few repaints that aren't on there :(And in my opinion, they're very vital repaints for all flight simmers who love and fly this amazing addon. So the repaints that I would LOVE to see available are:Virgin Atlantic New Colours: http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6744825&nseq=18Thai New Colours (purple stripes): http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6754189&nseq=4Singapore Airlines New Colours (with larger titles): http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6735484&nseq=13A renewal of the KLM livery because the wingtips and tail colours on the one available are rather odd: http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6751099&nseq=4If these liveries were available for the 747-400X it would be THE single best addon for any flight simulator. As I've said I adore this addon, everything about it is awesome. So I ask anyone who can repaint this bird, knows someone that could repaint it or knows of a repaint already available for these liveries to do their best. I mean, for me Virgin Atlantic New Colours are a must have for me because I do a lot of Virgin flights and I would like a new repaint that isn't the old one :( The last two are just little qualms of mine but aren't necessary. If anyone has any other requests, please comment below,I hope these repaints can be done because, myself, I can't repaint to save my life :DMany thanks,Dominic Waters
Heres a list of much more needed repaints,New garuda livery,Korean air passenger livery,TNT cargo livery, south african airways(for FSX),Boeing 747-400 original rollout livery not dreamliner,JASDF ( Japan air self defense force)And much more...

Hi ?I did do both the Korean Air passenger and the TNT cargo repaints (although another TNT cargo repaint is available from the AVSIM library), but for some reason the TNT cargo repaint has disappeared from the server i uploaded it to, I should have the original PSD files somewhere for it though it would just be a matter of finding it, but in the meantime here is the link for the Korean Air repaint.http://www.filefront.com/15327341/744X_Korean_02.zip/by the way, and just a heads up, it would be nice to know who I am conversing with, not to mention that it is also a forum rule.Jim Hodkinson

Hi ??For the TNT cargo, you can try this link at Avsim....http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=144430For JASDF, I believe Alex (aka 413x3) had painted this. Perhaps he would consider posting to Avsim?Regards,

Hi BoazYou know to be honest I have no idea if I did or not (I really hate getting old), but just to get me back on track, is this the Cathay Pacific in the old colours (green tail with two horizontal white stripes) we are talking about, as I know I did that version but with the RR power plants, and changing the engine fit for that would not be a problem, just a couple files to replace and the job would be done.I have also just had a quick look through my archives (read accumulated junk) and I can not find a 74X with the old Cathay Pacific scheme and P&W power plants, so if you could just confirm which Cathay scheme, I will if I have not done it already, get onto seeing what I can come up with.Jim Hodkinson

Honestly I don`t think that the virgin atlantic is nesasery. The one right now is better because there it looks more colorful. And I think a new Garuda livery would be good http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6724953&nseq=5
no... just, no.Maybe the New United Airlines livery isn't needed. The old one is so nice and grey and different.Personally I like the new VS/VIR livery better. And it's current and there's real 747-400 planes running around with that livery in the real worldIf the real plane exists. It is needed :(

There is actually. I just flew on on last week. I can honestly say that I do not really like the old UA livery. Its just a bit dull.

The old UA is still my personal favorite out of every livery that exists in the sim world, to include my own. Not sure exactly why it seems to do it for me, but it does.

I agree Dan, The old UA livery seems to have a timeless distinguished aura about it. Sure, it's not flashy like some of the new ones, but I also prefer it to the new livery.Regards

I'm actually a fan of the old bowling shoe Northwest livery. And my favorite are the Northwest Cargo repaints. All the different ones. Too bad they stopped flying the classics and never bought -400Fs
